I know that pretty much anyone other than a paraplegic could outrun Witten, so I am sure we upped our tight end speed over Witten. But does anyone know if any of these guys has any significant speed. Hanna did, but that ship sailed. Anything close to the 4.5 that's Hanna ran?

They are all slower than Witten And Witten is not slow

Very few TEs have anything like a 4.5, and our TEs are no exception. They are 4.7 ish kind of guys. If they run precise routes and have good hands I'll be happy.

Are we talking 2007 Witten or 2017 Witten? Now I love Jason Witten and think the negativity he got here was beyond ridiculous. That said, he slowed down big time over the past few years. He shuffled more than ran. Still he caught everything and had a knack of getting open. These young guys are definitely faster. Faster does not equal better.

In 2016 during training camp he was timed at 4.66 in the 40

So if every TE is faster but none are as good, shouldn't people realize speed isn't everything.

Nobody knows if none are as good.

Witten couldn't stretch the seems for years now and his blocking had fallen off too.

With that said... I know nothing about Jarwin but Rico looks like the only player capable of making big plays.

Swaim and Schultz are just typical NFL TE's that every team has. Dime a dozen types.

Did he "get" open or did the Defenses just bait us cause they knew he wasn't going anywhere once he caught it?

I suspect Witten's top end speed wasn't as bad as some make it to be, but he definitely is not one that reached top speed quickly.
