After throwing his coach under the bus one last time, I thought, What a pus Tiki is. Jimmy Johnson had his players in pads for eighteen weeks straight and won a SB. Tiki's so sensitive. I'm going to miss him, if he'd only shut up.

For some reason I feel disgusted by Tiki's comments when he talked about how Coughlin over used him and made him think about what he wanted to do next.

"The grind took its toll on me and really forced me to start thinking about what I wanted to do next. And that's not a bad thing. That's a good thing, for me at least. Maybe not for the Giants, because they lose one of their great players, but for me, it is," Barber said.

Excuse me but is this not the same guy who ripped Coughlin during their down fall for not using him enough? It makes me ill, this media darling and generalized good guy sit's here and once again makes sure all the attention is on him. Who lables themselves a GREAT player in that context but the Terrell Owens and Randy Moss of the world? Could you imagine the media blitz if Owens made these comments?

I never bought into his crap and I never will. Tiki has always disgusted me. He was never the great guy everyone made him out to be and this comment just goes further to prove it.

you know it kinda did rub me the wrong way, but only a little bit. I dont see why he has to bash his coach immediately after he retires. Couldnt he of just said something along the lines of "My time in NY was great. I loved playing there. Wish we could of won a championship, but I think that team has the talent to win one soon. I wish the coaches and the NY giants organization well." Oh well no biggie, im just glad hes gone. Tired of him scorching us every time we played.

I think Tiki was referring to be over used in practice and training camp and then under utilized during the actual games. I have heard to Coughlin runs a very physical camp and practices, which can wear down guys. Tiki is proven and probably did not need to be worked that hard in practice. You already know what he is going to bring to the field on Sundays.

His comments do seem a little bit self serving. He probably should just shut up and move on. Or maybe he should have said this while he was still on the team, when he could have made a difference for the team.

A guy is entitled to have his own opinion about things and he certainly has insight into the situation that none of us do.

I'm sure that's the case but I don't ever rememeber Walter Payton or Emmitt Smith walking away saying how their team lost a great player. To think it is one thing but to to say it just screaming for attention.

The thing that rubbed me the wrong way about this is the "Giants will lose one of their great players".

I never liked this guy.

I don't take it as he is ragging on Coughlin matter of fact Tiki wanted the ball and would comment when he felt he was not getting it enough times. The grind of the NFL and the position of RB was starting to affect him and recently was talking about not wanting to deal with the aches and pains that go with the job. He had a decent career and is able to walk away from the game on his own terms and pursue other dreams.

Yeah, I have always felt Fumbelina was a bit of a turd. Taking shots like that at your coach AFTER the fact is just plain weak.

Does diamond surrounded by trash ring a bell?

You don't recall Emmitt's infamous comments about diamonds and trash.

I would never say anything like that either but I don't expect people to all think and act the same. Some people are quiet and humble. Others are extremely confident. I would have to say Tiki's confidence in himself has not hurt him too much.

Well, Emmitt did say that he was a "diamond among trash"....

Anyway, Tiki's comments are no big deal...his gone, and he can take his little fairy talk somewhere else...

Opps: joshephuss beat me to it!!

Where in that comment is the shot at the coach?

If you take it out of context it does. I think he explained that pretty well otherwise it would not have been forgiven so fast.

I remember Flozell Adams taking offense to it. While Emmitt backpeddled off that statement, he sure came off as a prick at the time.
