Yeah, but you don't hear them crying about it and throwing him under the bus so fast it would make your head spin! Most of them sack up and do their job. It just really shows his true colors and how much character he really has (or lack there of).

i remember when coughlin first took over the giants few years ago...
unnamed players complained to the league about Coughlin working them too hard in trainning camp and mini-camps.

As a result, Giants lost a few training days.

Why all the talk about "glad we don't have to face him twice a year anymore"?

It's not like he killed us every year.

I think he scored a total of 4tds rushing and receiving combined over the last 6 years(12 games) agianst us, and avergaed 80 some odd yards on the ground against us in that same period of 6 years.

No big deal.

you can not judge a running back's performance on the field simply by the amount of TD's he has.

He has scored on Cowboys 4 times......4 times in the last 10 games he's played against the Cowboys.

That would not make me lose sleep the night before we play Tiki "the torch" Barber.

He has not been a thorn in the Dallas Cowboys side.

I can remember one game where he killed us, that was the monday nighter where he returned a punt for a TD.

Tiki Barber is self-absorbed and egotistical.

Before Coughlin, Barber was considered a good RB who had a serious fumbling problem, not a great back.

Coughlin changed the way he carries the ball and changed his entire career...under Coughlin he's been a GREAT RB who doesn't fumble.

While this was addressed by the media a year or two ago when Barber had his first really huge year, I have never once heard Barber give Coughlin credit for having an impact on his career...not one positive word.

I would think Barber would be grateful to Coughlin whether he likes the way he runs the team or not....Tiki is a great rb, and he's an intelligent guy, but I don't really respect him, and it won't surprise me one bit if his egotistical holier-than-thou and condescending attitude doesn't eventually cause his new job to crash and burn around him.

I don't take it as he is ragging on Coughlin matter of fact Tiki wanted the ball and would comment when he felt he was not getting it enough times. The grind of the NFL and the position of RB was starting to affect him and recently was talking about not wanting to deal with the aches and pains that go with the job. He had a decent career and is able to walk away from the game on his own terms and pursue other dreams.

a lot of the word "me" in that interview, and i think other people should determine if your great or not what a fool. goodbye tiki i glad we don't have to see that walking case of fumbleitis in pads any more.now we'll just have to listen to him run his mouth though.

The portion that posted did not say anything about Coughlin. If you see any where in the quote that Tiki slammed Coughlin please point it out. I did say Tiki and some other players on the Giants were wrong airing out their difference to the media. With TO that is his entire history not just now and then but every time you turn around TO is whining about something. Thing is I see people slamming Tiki who only make excuses for TO and blame others that is what is really amazing is how hypocritical some people are because TO is a Cowboy he can whine and that is alright but any other player on another team does it and you jokers go off on them. Try being a bit more fair when talking players.

To me, Tiki over the last couple of years (Since he gained fame) has been very self centered. I used to like him on Fox and Friends Tiki Tuesday a couple of years back.

I wonder what Vince Lombardi or Landry (or BP for that matter) would think of Tiki's comments ? Football purist.

Yeah, he had some good years (actually, I will even say great) the last few season and is very articulate and well spoken, I'll give him that. Thought he would be great as a broadcaster, but my dislike for his comments about the Giants the last 2 years has turned me off personally.

On another note, Fox and Friends gave him his break, then he flips over to their arch rivals NBC, hey its a free country and he can do as he wants. Also he said that has always been his dream job, so good for him...

But...

I'll keep an ear open, but I bet it won't take long before he follows NBC's company line and starts bashing Fox News, the company that gave him his start and supposedly made a lot of friends there.

Tiki most recent history(albeit NOT entire history) like there is much difference IS... he throws his coach under bus numerous times a year.... and complete coaching staff as a whole...

Its ok... justify Tiki's because its more recent history and not his entire history.... splitting hairs...

This comparison is very valid. There is a bias because Tiki wasnt ALWAYS like this... just the last 3-4 years... Big deal.
