How glad/mad would you be if the cowboys ended up getting Tim Tebow? Personally I think he is a great guy but i dont think we should get him there is no area that he could help the cowboys in.

We don't need another TE.

*flashing back to the Mike Williams debates from a few years ago* lol

I would hate it. I don't think he's ever going to be a top QB in the NFL, and he would be a major project at any other position.

Doubt he could make the roster, unless it was purely as a STer. I imagine the 3 qbs we have now will be on the final 53, barring injury.

This is all rhetorical since, in all likelyhood, he won't be a cowboy...

But... I wouldn't mind. He needs some time on the bench to work on his mechanics, but the guy has faced top level competition, won big games and he's got the intangibles. Namely, the guy seems to have a great work ethic, something that seems to be key in the NFL where most players can't just get by on pure talent like they could in college.

I think his best days as a football player are behind him.

He had a great college career, maybe the best ever. But his skills, as of now simply don't transfer to the NFL easily. He is a huge project for anybody who takes him.

I would take him in a heart beat. No matter what position we tried to put him at. The kid is a WINNER plain and simple. Not only that, he does it the right way. I don't think you can ever have too many guys like that.

Add to that the fact that Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin both love him. Seeing as how they both not only played but are Hall Of Famers, I'll go with their oppinion.

Tebow will be a Jaguar...Book it!

I personally like Tebow a lot...but I think he will play as a Wildcat QB, not as a starter in the NFL.

The guy is a football player though...And there is no denying his leadership and drive. But Dallas isn't interested in him as a first round pick, so there's no point in speculating about him being a Cowboy.

It would have to be a 4th round pick and with the thought of making him a bit like Aaron Rodgers, a guy that clearly wasn't going to be the starter until at least 4 years down the road.

I think he *can* be great, but my big worry with him is just how much does he want to be a great *professional* QB. A lot of guys like him, who are stars at a big SEC college, that was really their dream as a football player...go to the big SEC school of their dreams and be a star player there. But when they get to the pros, it's a very different story and the guys who really want to be great pros and will work as hard as they possibly can be, often succeed.

But I highly doubt we entertain that idea with Romo probably having 5 more years left in him and McGee is probably less of a project than Tebow is at this point.

Does Tebow kick field goals? I bet he could, he's athletic enough for it.

He could also compete with Jason Williams at nickel ILB.

Either way, he's a 4-7 round pick for us and he should be gone by the middle of the 3rd...

I don't see how any team can draft a player like him in the first 3 rounds after hearing experts say you'll have to start from scratch with his entire motion and techniques.
