Bill P: If you would of got off your high horse and got a decent kicker, we would be 12-4. Instead, by acting as if kickers don't even exist ended up costing this team their season. Ditto for the offensive tackle postion.

What do you expect from a 6th round rookie? Where are your contigucy plans here? The entire season I assume BP kinda took the attiude of "I'll make that kid a player." But, were not talking about a Robert Gallery here, this guy needs to be groomed. As for Flozell, that was a tough break.

The only other critcism I have here is choice of play selection, mainly the running game. BP, did you notice last week verses Carolina that we opened the formations up? In addition, we ran Juius's best running play, "draw." Is there a correlation that Juilus had a break out game? Tonight, and for the most part the entire season,we just put all 11 guys in the box. Julius for negative one. Juilus for no yards. That was the call on most days by the local pa announcers.

Besides this, I think you did a nice job and still a top 5 head coach in this league.

Bledsoe: I think he had a nice season. I cant really say anything bad about him. Considering the variables, he did a nice job.

Glenn and Key: When you guys are on, your on; however, when your off , your off. Can I get some consistency week in and week out? I think Glenn is one of the better recievers in the league, and Key, he is good at what he does. More consistent, but other than that we can't complian.

The oline: Larry your still a very good player. The rest of the o-line however, is quite frankly bad. {Leave Flozell out of this}

Dline: Nothing bad to say, they are one of the better groups in the league.

Linebackers: Need to be more consistent like the recievers.

DB"S: Newman, your one of the best in the league. I love how Glenn battle's you. Again, we're ok at this postion.

Safties: Roy, you might be a pro bowler but you need to step up your game. In Oklahoma, you made game changing plays and were touted to do the same in the NFL. I'm still waiting for that Roy to show up. Instead, you seem to always be on the other end and Roy is one of my favorite players. I challenge you next season to have your best season of your career.

DAvis: I like Davis's hard work ethic. From a guy who might not even made the team in the summer, this guy was actually a suprise for me. He has a knack for the bone crunching hit, and is a speacil teams ace. If he can improve his coverage he could turn into a decent pro.

I hate to say this but were like 3 players from going 14-2. If we can add a offensive tackle to compliment Adams is a step in the right direction. If we add a kicker like Matt Stover, then thats another win or two. Here's my other major overhaul for the offensive. I think its about time to part ways with Glenn and Keyshawn because they are getting up there in NFL seasons. This season theres a chance to get a few young recievers that could be all-pros in no time. Im not dissing Glenn and Key but its time to make a tough call.

Trade our 18th pick to Houston for Andre Johnson. Hes only 24 I think. Trade a conditional pick to the Bengals for Kelly Washington, who is buried behind the Bengals wide-outs. He got a chance to play against the Lions and kinda dominated them. I think he was hurt early in the year for a while and Alex Henery was playing at such a high level that he could not find his way back on the field. Hes 6' 4 220, and runs a 4.4. This could be the next Owens[minus the headaches}. Im telling you we need to get this guy. He is a hidden gem waiting for a chance.

Other then this I think were ok. A new look at reciever, a decent kicker, and a accomplish offensive tackle. Just think, we would have been 12-4 with a kicker who could make a field goal 35 yards or less. I take the 14-2 back and say 13-3 with those additions. We would have won tonight if it was worth something. Plus, the first Washington game was luck. Three additions could propel us to 12-4, 13-3ish, if we stay healthy. Im telling you, next season were the Seahawks from this season.

I hear this alot, can you tell me exactly who you would have gotten? who was out there to have?

You realize of course the guy who was going to start got hurt and had surgery right? Pettiti was not gonna start day 1

The run plays were basically same tonight as last week difference was there was no hole this week.

agree

Bledsoe: I think he had a nice season. I cant really say anything bad about him. Considering the variables, he did a nice job.

He did ok had a couple blunders cost us a couple games

agree but Larry cant pull for **** anymore

Dline: Nothing bad to say, they are one of the better groups in the league.

they were pretty good but will be better. Need to seal up the outside runs better

Linebackers: Need to be more consistent like the recievers.

to be fair we lost 2 of 4 starting LBs and need a couple new starters anyway

DB"S: Newman, your one of the best in the league. I love how Glenn battle's you. Again, we're ok at this postion.

agreed

Disagree Roy had a great seaosn this year. Could he have been better sure all players can be. but he was not disappointing

He should stay on ST's and we should replace him. My Vote goes for landry from LSU

No way we get rid of our recievers who you gonna get?

You cant switch to a 3-4, fix the secondary, improve the Oline, find a QB, backup RB and find a pass rush all in one off season. Give me a flipping break, the man can only do so much.

Drew and Wally were just saying this off season there will be some big time FA kickers. We'll see if the Cowboys even get in the market for them...if they don't we're in for another 2 or 3 losses based on poor kicking and missed FG's. It drives me nuts.

With all due respect, it wasn't who kicked for us, but rather who COACHED our kickers...

Steve Hoffman was dismissed in the offseason... he is having the last laugh at our expense even as we speak...

Cincy would not trade that guy, when they are this close to a SB. The other guy, I might take a look at or draft WR Martin Nance a 6'5 playmaker in the 1st or personally I would draft Todd Watkins 4th round via trade for Glover.

Petitti will be replaced and so will Al Johnson. Rivera will be pushed by Gurode next season, and LA will be asked to lose 20 or so pounds.

We need a bigger stronger NT if we're going to play the 3-4 and Ferguson is not the answer.

We need another OLB to get after the QB and hold his ground opposite Ware.
We need an experienced kicker from FA (you know who they are).
We have to get a bigger stronger ILB next to James from the draft or FA.
Davis is a nice player but FS Anthony Smith in the 3rd round would be outstanding.

Bledsoe worries me, especially when he continually over-throw receivers and skips the ball to them, but we can live with him for now.

We need speed in our rotation at WR and a better blocking TE to replace Campbell (he's done nothing this year)

Please Trick I like your posts but come on no way does Hoffman create magical kickers. How many kicking coaches are employed in the NFL? How many offers did hoffman get to coach on other teams?

Have to agree.

Yeah-BP made a huge mistake in letting him go. However-Cundiff's true colors really started to come out.

Hoffman was great. However-the guy isn't exactly a baby-sitter either. It's not like Adam V needs this guy to stay in shape.

THe guy just can't kick. Just like Petitti can't play RT, he's too slow. Coaching can only make you marginal if you're horrible.

Your welcome, Im just sick of people blaming BP esecially for Cundiff and Cortez. BP did what the best coaches do and thats put your team in a position to win. Thats exactly what he did with the exception to the Washington game. Whats even more impressive about BP and the staff is that they did it without their top 2 tackles on each side, our defensive captain, and with 10 rookies. How can you blame him for even putting us in that position to possibly playing in the playoffs?

Some people have to have someone to blame who better than the top guy? like you said we were in position to win at least 3 extra games thanks to parcells coaching. our kickers failed us. Hoffman is no magician so no need to use that excuse, and the only FA kicker worth a damn was nedney and he wanted to go home to Cali.

When you fire a coach like Hoffman, that has had success every year, for no reason, you are saying we are good enough at that spot.

It was a critical mistake any way you slice it.

The fact that he's unemployed isn't the issue.

Richie Cunningham and Billy Cundiff and all the rest are unemployed, too. Those guys were pretty good with a baby sitter.

in 2004 our kicker was 24th in points 76% made

2003 kicker was 20th in points 78% made

To Compare with the 16th rated kicker each year they are around 80% and 100 points give or take

So as you see even under Hoffman our kicking game was below average

Trip, I mean no disrespect to you, but this is ***ing football. A mans sports. You don't need a baby sitter for men.
