Lets see, a guy signs a new deal with a significant signing bonus, (which allows us to sign D-Ware because the signing bonus can be prorated over so many years) yet we cut him immediately and eat it? Uuumm, I don't think so!!
That's true talk right there... The guy needs to familiarize himself with his Quarterback which is Tony Romo as of now and just be a better playmaker next year, but I believe that the Cowboys need to get a fast wide out that can fly (i.e. steve smith, santonio holmes).
I believe having Roy Williams and Terrell Owens is an enigma. Why? First of all, the Cowboys didn't balanced the theory between possesion and speed receivers. For example, Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn was a good combination.... Another example, Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes/ Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison/Larry Fitzgerald and Aquan Bolden.... Cowboys have Terrell Owens And Roy Williams, which is two possesion type wide receivers.
My whole point in saying all of this is Cowboys have two wide receivers that plays with finese and no type of fast speed.... BUT! if you want to be technical about it, which I believe the way Jerry Jones went about it, you could say that Terrell Owens is the fastest wide reciever of the two which is obvious.... Cowboys playbook is require a whole lot of deep routes which becomes basic to blitzing defensive teams (Baltimore, Arizona, Pittsburgh, Philidelphia, etc.) I believe if the Cowboys want to develop that playbook better they need to make changes on the offensive line.
Okay, let's take Flozzell Adams for example, his weakness is speed-rushers, (for example, Chidi Okeafor, James Harrison, Osi Umenoya, etc.) I believe Flozzell should be changed to a left guard. Why? Because Flo is strong enough to take on anybody just like Leonard Davis. I believe moving Flozzell on to the inside will prevent False Start calls by the refs because Flo is trying to time the rusher before he comes....
Cowboys need to get a strong and athletic Offenisve Tackle that can take on speed and finese rushers....
I also believe that Jason Garrett needs to use all three of his runningbacks and stay balanced in his playcalls. (Also, he needs to do more of slant routes when he have Terrell Owens and Roy Williams in there at the same time, cause what does it look like both of them going out for deep routes and Romo is being blitz by seven people?
Not only that, Flozzell have a tough time with speed rushers.... A sign of offensive destruction....
