Been almost a week for that loss to wear off and I think it's a good idea to list the positives of this season to keep a proper perspective.

Let's start with a 12 win season and 24 other teams did not get a 19th game.

lol I could understand trying to be positive after last season, but after the same exact scenario a year later that ship sailed. It’s gonna take a lot more than 6 days. To top it off the eagles blew right by them. Forgive me for not finding a positive after more of the same!

The season was very good. They certainly were a top 3 team in the NFC and they had 6 wins against playoff teams. It looks like they have a good chance of having another good year next year. They have Quinn coming back and they have 9 draft picks. They can build another team that is a contender. It is doable.

I'm normally as optimistic as they come about the Dallas Cowboys. Every new season brings the opportunity for success and a SB run. Unfortunately, I don't feel that way any longer. I believe we've seen the very best this team can accomplish. I don't believe Dak and his offense have the ability to win a superbowl. All things considered, I'm now expecting things to be worse, not better in the foreseeable future.

I don't see how you can say that when they have 9 draft picks and will be bringing in a lot of new players from the draft, free agency, and trade. They have a good foundation.

Positives:

• The a Cowboys showed some grit rebounding from a terrible start on opening night and injuries to their starting LT (Tyron Smith) and QB. They didn’t give up the season when prior teams have (2015, 2020)
• They won a road playoff game for the first time in 30 years. Jimmy Johnson was the last coach to win a road playoff game and Big Mac joins Tom Landry and Jimmy as the only Cowboys HCs to win a road playoff game.
• The defense made big strides and at times carried this team during the season. They gave up 33 points in two playoff games, so they only avg giving up 16.5 points a game. You can win SBs with that.
• I believe Mike McCarthy showed he’s a better coach than many here believed by the way he handled this season.
• Cedee Lamb emerged beginning in mid-Oct as a bona-fide #1 receiver.
• Tony Pollard showed he was a top 5 RB in the league and a big play threat every down he played.

c tyler biadasz continues to improve...season to season.

young te's jake ferguson and payton hendershot have a bright future.

cb daron bland was a real revelation thru out the season.

de demarcus lawrence continues to be a brilliant run defender and impacted several games this season.

lb leighton vander esch played well thru out the season.

qb dak prescott finished the yr with 66% comp.%....and despite his struggles with int's...he tossed 23 tds on the season.
7th season in a row he finishes the year with more td's than ints.
imagine that.

The only other positives is we won a playoff game for the first time in four years, and it was our first road playoff win in 30 years. And we beat Tom Brady for the first time.

Although our season is over there is one game left to possibly take some positivity from

if the Niners beat the Eagles like a red headed stepchild and it’s by a wide margin, perhaps we can draw some good conclusions from our performance vs the Niners……but if the Eagles beat the niners by a wide margin………not going there in a positive thread

That loss, all depends on how you think the Cowboys stack up against the Niners playing an away game.

I thought the Niners were better last year and thought the same this year, they have the best D in the league and a RB-WR-TE trio unmatched imo.
