That loss, all depends on how you think the Cowboys stack up against the Niners playing an away game.

I thought the Niners were better last year and thought the same this year, they have the best D in the league and a RB-WR-TE trio unmatched imo.
I thought I'd never see a last play as bad as last year's. Wrong

I thought it was an awesome season. We lost to Philly on the road with our backup barely and beat there backup barely. They have been the best team in the league for the majority of the season. We also beat Cincy with our backup. Sure they are a different team now but we punished Burrow that day. And we went toe to toe with the hottest team in football right now SF. We didn’t get pushed around. I think Shanny thought they would run right through us offensively. He looked stressed the whole game.

We belong. Just need to revamp and try and get back. We will see a lot of new entrants next season we just need to keep getting in the playoffs. That’s what good franchises do.

That’s hilarious. But you expect to beat them next year, I’m sure you expected to beat them last year too. Like the Cowboys weren’t in the upper echelon on both sides of the ball, yet here you are to tell us how they had no shot. Save that garbage!
He didn’t say they didn’t have a shot. Just shouldn’t have expected us to upset SF.

No, This team once again choked in another playoff game that they could've easily won. Stop always looking for bright spots and recognize that this team continues to do the same crap every year, and will most likely do it again next season.

Been almost a week for that loss to wear off and I think it's a good idea to list the positives of this season to keep a proper perspective.

Let's start with a 12 win season and 24 other teams did not get a 19th game.

I will add 4 games won by Cooper Rush, the real surprise of this season. Don't tell me you saw that one coming.

OK, your turn to add some positives.
At the end of the day, this team didnt advance any further than it has over the last 27 years................0-8 in the Divisional Round since last SB win.

That is really all that really matters, stuff like "hey, we won 12 games, or hey we finally beat a 57 yr old Brady on a sub 500 team" is just platitudes to make people feel good, kinda like a participation trophy.

All this talk of "you didnt win, but you tried really hard so lets have cookies and ice cream in the lockerroom" is not how I roll. Team came up short yet again, just own it.

We have one of the greatest defensive minds as our DC. He took a questionable front 7 and made a top 5 defense.

Positives:
1. Cooper Rush playing quarterback showed us how dependable a good offense can be under a guy who knows what he's out there for;
2. The run game becoming an effective part of the offense;
3. The offensive line played better than I expected;
4. The defense held up against the run game much better than expected;
5. Brett Maher had an awesome season;
6. And the Cowboys coaches, players, and fans now have no more delusions about Dak Prescott. What some of us have been saying for years is now undoubted.
Next year, no matter what happens, the Cowboys will not go into the season thinking Dak is the guy, and will have to deal with it.

It’s easy to take stock of this season. This is yet another year without getting past the divisional round. There are no moral victories. The bottom line the D came to win. The offence came to lose…this offence under MM and KM are inconsistent and only looks good when beating up bad defences…the ownership, MM and KM all know this. All have refused to properly address this…

I do not have to own it because it is just a game to me, they have to own it.

Did you expect the cowboys as the favorite and better team to win last year? You could spin it however you want. If Dak had a good game and they lost, he’d be ripping the whole team apart. Instead he played like complete crap. Outplayed by the last pick in the draft and it’s time to go searching for the positives?!! lmao

You talk about agendas all the time, how transparent does this one have to get.

I thought they had a better chance of winning last year mainly cause they were at home.

But the matchups against them aren’t favorable.

The positives I see:
- I am not a believer in McCarthy, but I have to give him credit that the team continues to play hard (except for Diggs and Parsons when he seems exhausted). That's a big change from just a couple years ago where they laid down like dogs at the end of the season.
- We are still in a window in the NFC where QB play on the whole frankly sucks and the conference is there for the taking. Unfortunately it's only the Eagles and 49ers that seem to realize this and are trying to capitalize. The 2 elites (Brady and Rodgers) did not have their typical years, they are getting older, and their futures are unknown, Hurts was elite this year but there are now durability questions. Other than that it's a bunch of JAGs (including our guy) or unknowns.

Next time they should just forfeit!
Sometimes there’s just teams we don’t matchup well against. Their strengths expose our weaknesses. I’m not sure any other team in NFC imposes as many mis matchups than SF.

Any fan who separate their emotions to analyze which make up these matchups are more apt to see it more clearly.

The good news is despite these factors we were able to still play a competitive game and it came down to a one possession or one score game.

So , in the end we can dissect a few key plays and possessions which ultimately determined the outcome instead of total dominance.

And as poorly as our QB performed and offense produced we still had a shot to win. But it’s these matchups which led to our poor performances not just certain players stinking it up. Opponents often deserve as much credit as our teams deserves blame.
