Implied consent? Yes Maybe but Fat Albert jerked off his helmet and then spiked him, there is criminal intent.

When did I say getting a helmet ripped off and getting stomped on fell under implied consent? I said in that same paragraph that malicious intent overrides it.

On the field he hits hard and spit on someone. I think most fans would support hard hitting regardless of the team. The spitting, I personally do not support, and I think no Skins fans like the fact he did that, or thought it was right. Some fans thought it was not a huge deal, in comparision to other worst acts. And alot of us were upset, because he was hit in the face, when he spit, it should have been a double personal foul. The NFL should not make exceptions to their rules.

He's a thuggish late-hitting spitter. Only a matter of time before he pulls a Haynesworth or worse, imo. When a thug comes on the field, he doesn't become a knight. And of course, the cry is 'ohh but he was fouled!" Boo hoo. He spit on a player. Only a scumbag would do that.

Off the field, he took the law into his own hands, he tried to get back ATV's that were stolen from him, and he used a gun. Stupid, and all Skins fans I know did not support it. But if Ray Lewis can kill someone, and play another year, ST can run around with a gun to get his stolen stuff back. That is just the sad world we live in, those with fame and fortune can bend the law.

Typical . Ray Lewis' case was self-defense. He was wrong to obstruct justice, and that's why he rightfully wore an orange suit til things got cleared up. But he's not in jail because under the law everyone has the right to protect his own life under threats from thugs with knives.

To compare Lewis, who was minding his own business when strangers beset him and his party to Taylor's Miami gang life antics is absurd. Taylor's waving guns around while playing gang banger is indicative of his lifestyle, character, and a temperment he demonstates on the field everytime he walks on it.

If ST did something terrible like that, NO skins fan is gonna support it,at all, because his other actions are not comparable.

Well, the extent to which he got support (based on his being a talented player) on the gun charges convinced me he could pull a Jack the Ripper and some of you apologists wouldn't blink.

It's only a matter of time with Taylor...he's a ticking time bomb of bad character, boorish behavior, and the entitlement mentality bestowed upon him by the fanbase. He might have not pulled a Haynesworth yet, but his dirty play (yes, dirty, not just hard-hitting...let him get beat and you can predict a late hit like the one two weeks ago to Glenn) isn't going to just evaporate overnight.

We'll see what song you're singing when he does cross a bigger line, but I'd vouch it'll sound much like the one you're singing today. ;)

what if Gurode saw the foot coming down and turned his head and took the spike in the eye. that would suck!

That mentality started in college. He would've had that same mentality at whatever city he played in.

I don't not know what to say, if that offends someone...

On another team's board, what is usually said is. "I'm sorry".

But then, you wouldn't get THAT either. :laugh2:

The point here has been the difference between Titan fans and Commanders. One classy and refusing to make apologies. The other hell bent on 'covering'.

And right down the line you have demonstrated it superbly.

Yeah, but in some places he perhaps wouldn't have been so "enabled".

I doubt he'd be the hero in Tenn that he is in Washington.

Regardless, I did not attack anyone, I was just saying why Taylor is like Hanyesworth, and everyone else is jumping all over me, when my original post was concerning if your player is ok.

I hear ya man you seem to have a good head on your shoulders....that said Taylor is not by any means free of being a thug

btw he shot at someone and had to accept a plea deal to stay out of jail.

post more often!

I have never seen anything like that in my 30 years of watching football. The only thing comparable was the Buddy Ryan bounties that he used to put on players. This really was disgusting, and I hope Haynesworth gets suspended for the rest of the year. The league needs to send a message, and two 15 yard penalties on a kickoff aren't enough.

Right, since Taylor takes cheap shots like that? Oh yeah I forgot, he spit on someone, which is dirty, and I do not support it, but it is nothing like stepping on someones face. Do not give me that bull.

Please, both offenses are in the same class.

When you spit on somebody, that is one of the worst then you can do to insult them.

Imo, that hero status doesn't matter that much. He was and is always going to be an egotistical thug. Til the day he dies, he will be a thug with an incredibly high sense of self-satisfaction.

See its things like that this that annoy me about sports today. People like Taylor and Clarrett are thugs and criminals in every sense of both words. Yet as long as they play well, they are heroes. TO is hated by almost every non-Cowboy fan and a good number of Cowboy fans and yet I don't remember him ever waving a gun, dealing drugs, or having to appear in court in an orange jumpsuit.

Thank you, I usually post here during weekends.

You guys know what the funny thing is, I posted a thread at my forum, and immediately all of the Skins fans were concerned about the well being of your player. One of our mods said, he is happy that no one is saying the Boys deserved it. But of course, Skins fans are classless....

They should suspend him for the rest of the season.
I'm sure that won't happen, but he must face a severe
suspension and fine.

You can't compare what Sean did to what Ray did. The point is Sean was wrong and he got off. Just like the DUI he had on I-95 in Va. If it was me, I would be lost my CDL. Sean seems to believe that he is above the law and that is not right.

You're kidding right? They don't even come close. Spitting is insulting but does not even come close to what Haynesworth did. He could have easy got Gurode in the eye and ended his career.

It will be interesting to see if the Titans suspend him, or what they will do - regardless of what the league hands down.
There is no-way you can tolerate this type of thing, if Fisher does not do something about Hainsworth, I will lose even more respect for him. - He's lost plenty already after the way they handled the McNair thing!

Spitting is bad and insulting, but no one ever lost an eye from saliva.

Haynesworth should be suspended for at least five games. Any less is simply not enough.
