Titans fire HC Mike Vrabel

Vrabel was the linebacker coach for the Texans for 3 seasons before being elevated to their DC in 2017. That year, Houston was dead last in points allowed, which was somehow good enough to get him the head coaching job with the Titans.

Who would of thought trading away your #1 receiver and replacing him with a bust would impact your W/L record?

I mean, I can't see how they pin this solely on the coach but not the GM
That was a stupid move trading away Brown when they have an average QB. They didn’t want to pay him and ended up paying a bigger price by losing games.

DQ has really pulled some fine levers in terms of turnovers in bunches. But the Patriots have had some legit snuffing defenses and Vrabel was a part of that and carried that on to the Titans.

Something tells me that if DQ left and you brought Vrabel on board and kept Harris coaching DBs you might really build a version of that historic Ravens defense that win a SB with Dilfer at QB.

For all the success that DQ has had in Dallas building a defense to stop the run hasn’t really been a part of that.
