Well I knew once that shooter was arrested and started talking Jones would be implicated. As someone who has followed Pacman I've always believed he had a hand in the shooting.

But the real question is will Goodell re-instate Jones while this investigation and trial is going on. I seriously doubt it.

The last thing Goodell is gonna want is in mid season to have Jones arrested or jailed.

If it is a "your word against mine" type scenario, Pacman will probably come out fine. If a witness comes forward indicating, "the dude that shot me had 2 arms instead of only one," then Pac may have some 'splainin' to do.

The circus that will go on does not bode well for Pac coming back soon as, correctly stated above, Goodell will not want him activated through all of this.

Well the problem is the arrested guys story is a lot more plausible than Pacmans story about some stranger walking up to him and offering to shoot the bouncer for Jones...The police already said they would re-open the investigation on Jones if the shooter implicated Jones.

But forget the legal aspects. Goodell is not gonna re-instate Jones while this is going on in my opinion.

Just curious, if Roger does not reinstate PacMan and Dallas get's that 4th round pick back does PacMan's rights go back to the Titans, does he become a FA or does Tennessee Just have to give back the 4th rounder and get something else?

Cowboys have his rights now. He's not connected to the Titans in anyway.

Yikes, that is not good. Though, I admit, I have to chuckle a bit at the whole, 'it wasn't me, it was the one-armed man!" bit...

He'd belong to the Titans.

Don't believe Commish reinstates Pacman until the entire investigation ends with Pacman being cleared. If Pacman not reinstated this year, Titans will have to give back our 4th rounder in the 09 draft (should be higher pick then our own). However we retain Pacman's services despite all that. Jerry wrote a very good contract which totally covers us.

I don't buy one word of this, and I doubt the police do either....

And this has got to be the stupidest thing I have EVER seen someone charged with attempted murder say: "I don't have no reason to lie,". You mean being charged with 3 counts of attempted murder is not reason enough to lie....

We are talking Las Vegas police. I live in Las Vegas, they will try to get this case over with as quietly and quickly as possible. I havent followed the story because the story isnt that big here in Las Vegas. But unless the bouncer IDs Pac Man as the shooter, I doubt anything will happen.

didnt it also say he never received the 15k?

I think Manny Arora said last week in that predraft interview I heard that Jones actually wrote the guy checks for it...I could be "misremembering" but I'm pretty sure thats what Arora said

The investigation has ended and the police did clear Pacman. I don't and I doubt the police buy the "I didn't do it, I have no reason to lie argument" from a guy who is charged with 3 counts of attempted murder.

Now, if he does have some sort of evidence or something to prove Pacman is lying, then things could really change. But no way the police are bring this guy in and charging him with attempted murder strictly on the word of Pacman Jones alone. I mean come on, do you really think that the police have NO other evidence tying this guy to the shooting?

If you click on the link that has the search warrant listed and read that article, I hardly think you would still come to the conclusion that his story is even remotely plausible.

DB click on the link that has the search warrant in it. It's pretty clear in that story that the guy is full of crap. This should be a non-issue in my opinion.

I can't believe that they haven't already talked to the bouncer and dug up other evidence on this guy.

I just do not buy the theory that Pacman told the police I know who shot the bouncer and he picked out a guy and they police decided that that was enough evidence and never looked more into detail if this was indeed the guy who did the shooting.

Now, I COULD buy if the guy would have come in and said yes, I did do the shooting, BUT Pacman ordered the hit, and I have evidence to back it up. But I definately do not buy the "I didn't do it, I was framed argument", while some no doubt are, that is the oldest most used argument in the book. And I HIGHLY doubt the police or DA's give it even 1 ounce of credibility. Especially when he tries to say "I don't have a reason to lie".

I agree, no way the cops listen even one iota to the I didn't do it, I was framed argument, atleast not unless he has a TON of evidence to back this up.

Everyone seems to be acting like the police started to investigate the shooting and Pacman cames up and said he knew who did it, so they dropped the whole investigation and put an arrest warrent out on this guy without doing ANY other investigating. And that the ONLY evidence in this entire case that they have against this guy is Pacman's IDing him. Now come on, do you really think that that is all that this case is resting on?

There is a good chance Pacman is already cleared and the comish has the details. Just because someone who gets arrested blaims someone else does not mean it is true. They all have a story. Since this guy has been arrested the police have more evidence then just a lineup.
