Why do you keep saying this?

Orton and Kitna had success in this offense, and they hardly extended plays

They didn't have success.. Kitna did ok but he threw a ton of picks.

Also, there are more years of Dallas Cowboys tendencies for teams to look at and it resulted in a 1-11 record just last season with QBs outside of Moore who have shown they can win in this league.

We need a QB that extends plays and doesn't have to rely on throwing completions to covered receivers over and over.

Would take him as a camp arm at worst.

I imagine he might want to go to a team that he thinks he might have a chance at starter...even if that is unrealistic.

likely. i just don't know if i see a huge need to make an "incremental" difference in our backup play. moore has time and experience with the playbook and if they'd be about a tossup - i don't see the point in changing to make people think you did something that was a notable improvement in the end.

But we should be 4th on that list and really 3rd. Tennessee obviously doesn't want him so that really leaves Cleveland and San Diego.

Which I think essentially leaves just San Diego. Cleveland has several QB candidates already.

If anything else, make Moore earn the job. I don't really like the idea of handing him the job. Competition will make him better.

It's not that surprising when you remember they drafted mariotta which is a better qb now and most likely in the future.

I liked mettey B going into the draft. However I do not think its a reach for him to compete (and maybe win?) the QB2 here.

Linehan has not chilled the Joneses on acquiring a veteran QB for backup duty. I think they look into getting this guy. He may not come to the team for other reasons, but this at least gets explored by the scouts.

for the money and given our needs, i don't see why they wouldn't take a shot with the kid. would suck to lose (2) draft picks to the first and 2nd pick and now a potential backup to the 3rd overall pick. :)

On closer examination, I think I was doped up on Mettenberger's highlight reel... I'm "meh" on him now... not seeing he's that much, if any, better an option than Moore. I'd rather hold out and see if McCown or Foles are achievable.
