Romo was the 2nd best undrafted FA quarterback to ever play the game. Kurt Warner was best bar none. But as good as Romo was in his role he is not HOF worthy. Many times he locked up in big moments.

But I will say this…Romo played with some lousy Cowboy defenses. He certainly would have taken these last few Cowboys teams further in the playoffs.

I mean seriously. Roger and Aikman are Hall of Famers. Played some meaningful football…..showed up when it counted. Romo can be a Cowboy great no shame in that.
Roger might have done well, because of his elusiveness, but I honestly don't think Troy would have made it to a single playoff game, in Tony's place. I think Troy would have had a very short and painful career.

All good info but has nothing to do with my point.

If someone is going to make or challenge a statement, use solid facts, not lazy research or even worse, intentional deception.
Well to be fair, the original quote that initiated the original response and subsequent responses was in regards to comparing their seasons.

What does this have to do with what I said?

And you dont want to play the strength of opponent game when it comes to Dak, buddy
Lol.

You made a "4 game performance analysis" comparing two QBs without considering the vastly different level of opponents they played against.

As to your 2nd statement, I'm not even arguing for Dak. I was just pointing out the flaw in your original statement. There are many ways to argue Romo as a better QB than Dak; your's was not one of them.

Dont bother w the Dak Stanleys.

Didnt Dak face the average worst pass defense in the league in 2023?
Don't know if he's a Dak stan or not, but yes. While his stats were good and "gaudy" that year, they were inflated due to the weaker pass defenses. The NFC East seemed to field tougher teams in general when Romo was the QB. The Giants and Commanders were definitely better and a Reid coached Philadelphia was as good during Romo's tenure as they have been for Dak's current tenure as QB.

There is no flaw to my argument. Dak played poorly heading into the postseason, and it carried over. Which ironically, was always the knock on Romo.

IIRC, Romo was the first QB to ever lead the league in the regular and postseason in passer rating.

Look at how he was competing against in the NFL at this time. Gawds at the position, peyton, Arod, Brady. Dak in 2023 was competing with Lamar Jackson and Brock Purdy

Because you are angry and emotional over something common sense. Crying over a grown man. They aren’t putting someone in the Hall of Fame who. Barely made the playoffs and when they did they lost. You can’t be this dense unless it’s your emotions getting the best of you. The same people who will say Romo
Should be in the hall will argue against Eli getting in. Makes no damn sense….
.....just remember these talking points when Rayne Dakota isn't considered either.

I'm a Romo fan and always will be. He was a great QB and I will die on that hill.

Romo's biggest issue was being tied to terrible coaching his entire career. He had a little bit of grooming from Parcells at the beginning, and then he got tethered to Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett his entire career. Yeah, not exactly inspiring. Yet, despite that, Romo was really starting to get into a groove at the end of his career. His back just wouldn't hold up for him.

I mean maybe or maybe we not. We can only speak on what happened. Romo never had Troy’s teams but he had some great teams. 2014 and 2007 for sure.

I’m not naive or delusional as a Romosexual. Dak has not had a hall of fame career. He and Romo are having the same career. Romo was mid in the playoffs. Every time. But he was never mid in the regular season.
