Video: TLC: You Will Never Look At Tony Romo The Same!

I thought Romo was pretty much calling his own plays the last 2-3 years. He probably knew situation plays/football better than the coaches. For example, he, more than any of the coaches knew Dez's strengths and weaknesses and changed plays accordingly.
Definitely, he started having more influence. The main thing is that JG was banished from play-calling and Romo got more control, while working with Linehan. That was what the “Peyton Manning” by JJ was ultimately about. And I feel that this played a part in the organization going with Dak, as guys like Garrett, resented it and saw an opportunity to re-exert control.

What are you talking about? Quoting? NPC? He didn’t have a hall of fame career. The hall of fame isn’t some participation trophy like the pro bowl you guys complain about.

I came in to talk Romo. Romosexuals are the ones who had to bring Dak in because Romo’s career can’t stand on its own. I’d prefer not bringing him up because the only relevance he has in a Romo thread is they both are having the same career and he lost his job to Dak.
Now you done went stupid and can’t read with comprehension all of a sudden smdh. I said what I said and you come with this NPC well that’s been the metric junk. Who cares it’s a lot of things that’s been the “norm” I’m sure you don’t agree with so spare me that lame excuse for why can’t understand the simple point I made originally.

Nope, I still look at him the same - a choker who never had the desire or seriousness to be a champion. He was a waste of time.

Dak lead the league in cmp%, passer rating, and TD's was 100 off the yards
Purdy had Dak beat in most rate stats like passer rating, QBR, TD%, and Dak was 6th in Y/A. Romo led the league in all of these, but both led in completion %.

Romo also led the playoffs in passer rating by a pretty large margin.

I've always been and always will be a Romo guy. He was very skilled. All he needed was one SB. His narrative would be SO different.

Didn't happen, though. So...
An offensive line that didn’t suck would have been nice for him and that RB you mentioned

I like Romo but do not see him being in the HOF. He was 2 playoff wins, really no difference than Dak. What is said about Dak is pretty much what was said about Romo. Again I like him but he is not a HOF'er as a QB

Because you are angry and emotional over something common sense. Crying over a grown man. They aren’t putting someone in the Hall of Fame who. Barely made the playoffs and when they did they lost. You can’t be this dense unless it’s your emotions getting the best of you. The same people who will say Romo
Should be in the hall will argue against Eli getting in. Makes no damn sense….

I mean seriously. Roger and Aikman are Hall of Famers. Played some meaningful football…..showed up when it counted. Romo can be a Cowboy great no shame in that.

An excellent case was made but even without the stats ( which are elite) most of us who watched every snap from the dude knew he was a baller.

One of the most overachieving Qbs in this century
Not even top in his era….. I’ll say this…he was better than Ryan Leaf and Hutchinson. Bledsoe too.

True I will say I think QB take to much blame on loses and too much credit for wins. Football is a team game and as important as QB is, he relies on those around him to go their jobs so he can do his. However how QB are judged by media is based a lot on post season success. No other position is viewed that way
