UPDATE ON THE FUTURE OF SHAWN MICHAELS
by Dave Scherer @ 9:58 AM on 3/29/2010

The WWE Public Relations person in the media section at WrestleMania last night was telling reporters after the main event that Shawn Michaels really is retiring. That was also the word going around backstage at the show. If nothing else he will be taking a long break because he was saying goodbyes to people after his match.

It will be interesting to see if that stays the case or not. Personally, I hope that he doesn't. The guy is just too good to hang the boots up. If that was it last night, what a way to go out.

With the retirement of Shawn Michaels I have cried literally, he has been my idol on par with Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach and Tony Romo. Shawn Michaels was who I aspired to be for years upon years, in my Elementary school graduation we were asked multiple questions, one being "Who is your Idol" my answer was Shawn Michaels, that question was asked once more 3 years later upon my graduation from middle school, the answer stayed the same, Shawn Michaels. Long live the HeartBreak Kid, the greatest wrestler by a mile and a half- With the end of the HBK era, I will no longer watch any WWE programming. period, unless the great one himself Shawn Michaels returns and if so I will resume only watching his segments. Shawn Michaels forevermore will be my favorite wrestler, but for the first time I can say that my favorite active wrestler is someone else, the long-time #2 AJ Styles now steps up into the role of my favorite wrestler, quite a gap between the two has always been there. I still recall the day that Shawn Michaels superkicked Hulk Hogan, it is forever etched in my mind, I remember the day Triple H turned heel with that gruesome sludgehammer hit on Shawns back, which was my favorite angle of all time. No one can touch Shawns work in the ring, no one. No one will ever be able to be so natural on the mic. No one will ever entertain me as much as he has. Thanks for the memories Shawn, thank you.

I stopped on TNA the other night and I swear that Scott Hall was roasted out there.

He was on something and Nash looked pretty goofy too. And then they had Hardy (don't remember which one, Matt or Jeff. Think it's Jeff) come out and he looked ****ed up.

TNA should change it's name to BNC. Beer N' Coke wrestling.

Have not watched wrastling in years but I seem to recall that it was pretty common knowledge that Hall had trouble with drugs in the past, guess he still does.

TNA pulled a .62 monday, vs WWE's 3.7. Could be a post-mania bump, it could be the signel that TNA is destroyed, TNA is going 8-10pm next Monday.

Told you so. House show vs. Live show is no contest.

They were pulling 1.1s and even pulled a 1.5 on Jan 4th, then 2 .8s, and a .62. It has crashed and burned at the weight of Wrestlemania, if it does not rebound next week I predict a return to Thursdays, eventually a move to Fridays to challenge SmackDown instead I would put money on.

Oh, I know they have had issues in the past. I've seen an interview or two where Scott Hall acknowledges being an addict and high as a kite going into the ring.

Just thought that maybe he would have pulled it together. He looked like crap the other night.

Orton>Cena

I agree.

But I appreciate Cena for what he is.

And everyone who has left the wwe (Angle,Flair,RVD,Hardy,Booker) have all said nobody works harder than Cena.

He's a much better wrestler than he is an actor. :laugh2:
