I thought Hambrick at the time was a 1000-1200 yard back. He went what 970 in 2003? He was never going to be an Emmitt Smith like back and the Emmitt that was there was basically done. What Tham brought that JJ doesn't is that he was a 230 pound back that could at least wear a defense down and was a hellacious blocker. He ran enough to controll clock and win 10 games.
MB3 is such a vastly better back to my eyes. He's big, fast, great vision and a threat to hurt you at any moment. JJ to me is a back that can't adjust pre hitting a hole. He needs to have a huge hole to do anything.
