The guy replacing TO may not be as good right now but Reggie Brown showed he can do the job yesterday with 5 catches for 95 yards and a TD catch and run of 56 yards. Dallas has to look at this upcoming game no different than if TO was there.

Props to the Eagle organization for putting TO in his place. I know it has to be tough to basically throw a season in the toilet by suspending your best player.

I don't agree with the above. I think Philly is a much worse team with Owens in the lineup. This will serve to calvinise them. I would not be surprised to see Philly come out of this with a renewed purpose.
That's certainly one way to look at it. But I'll say this. The team I watched on TV last night, looked very pedestrian. There were several balls that went uncaught where I thought, T.O. would've caught it.

I think there will be an adjustment period where opposing teams will have a chance to roll on Philly. But once they get it together, then yeah I could see them coming together with renewed purpose.

Thing is, even w/T.O. they weren't playing good football. They were showing stats of them last night on ESPNews and the one thing that stood out to me is that their D is giving up alot more points per game than they have in previous years. So it just may not be the offense. It could very well be their D.

Good takes WG esp the Defense.

I guess the Loss of Simon as the plug in the middle has really hurt that D.

This year Jimmy Johnsons D is looking nothing like previous years.

They're talking on WIP about having a big TO-jersey bonfire next Monday night.

For at least the next week, I think the team is going to be way more focused on TO-fallout than they will be on the Cowboys... at least the fans will be, and I suspect the team as well.
Man, I wish I lived in Philly, just to be at that party.

I don't own a TO jersey, I never considered him an Eagle.

But that's going to be one hell of a party.

Don't discount the Eagles. I know they're offense does not run the ball and their defense is no playing like it has in years past, but they did make the Super Bowl without TO last year. Don't take this team lightly. There won't be a TO distraction every so often. They may be more focused and a better team w/o TO, addition by subtraction. Who knows?

Their defensive line has changed quite a bit from last season. Simon gone to Indy. Burgess gone to Oakland. McDougle unfortunately shot by some punks. Their quality depth isn't there like it was last season.

The division was there for the taking prior to this newest TO imbroglio. It's there for just about anyone in the division and Dallas is certainly part of that equation. Philly is not the 400 lb. gorilla anymore. They haven't been at any point this season.

The Eagles aren't playing good football, atleast not good enough.

But TO wouldn't have made a difference last night.

We could pass, with a few notable exceptions. We couldn't run, which is not good. And we couldn't stop Wash. on 3rd and long. Also not good.

But finally ending the TO saga makes me feel FANTASTIC. GO EAGLES!

It was pretty funny being at the Skins/Iggles game last night. I saw TO jerseys turned inside-out... ones with his name x-ed out.

I wanted to make a #4 Favre Eagles jeresy and wear that just for kicks! :D

I agree with you. Philly in my opinion is still a dangerous team and Dallas better be focused on the game and not get caught up with all of this TO talk. I'm sure the media will be asking our guys about what is going on in Philly

I agree they havent looked that good, with or without T.O. Listening to the announcers last night you would have thought the Eagles were the 1972 Dlophins or the 1985 Bears.

I think what you see here is guys getting focused in Philly. I really don't buy into the whole no weapons thing. I think McNappie is getting healthier. I think you see guys doubling there efforts. I think you see this whole incident serve as a rally cry for Philly. Remember, were not talking about SuperBowl here. After all, this is the Philidelphia Eagles. Were talking about beating Dallas.Washington and/or NY. That's what we need to be concerned with. The guys suiting up for Philly get paid to play too. There not scrubbs. They have talent. It's simply a question of being able to apply it. Nobody in the NFL is devoid of talent. Some teams simply do a better job of drafting, coaching, or what have you, players that can apply it. I'm more worried about Philly now then I ever was with TO. I'm of the opinion that if Philly can play good defense and special teams, they can be in any game so long as they have McNappie.

Props to the Eagles for putting this bum down for the year.

Will say this though.... I was in Ocean City (MD) a few weekends ago and saw a guy in a T.O. jersey. I was trying on a Skins hat at a store. He made some "We're coming in a few weeks" joke. My response was "Who do you ask for a refund for that #81?"

felt good.

The announcers led me to believe that the Eagles won the game last night.
