Boy oh boy. You're looking to start a fire. :lmao:

I am of the belief TO has been a very good addition to the team. I'll leave the quibbling about the monetary details and stats to those that care to go into detail.

That said, there's no denying the true MVP for this team this year. See my sig for more information.

Spin it anyway you like but....TO = Playoffs

Yes we were 9-7 last year as well but didn't make the tourney. Romo IS NOT the mvp of this team, he don't even have the arm to truly utilize a player like TO.

TO opened up the offense and has provided leadership......You take away TO and we are a 5-11 team at best.

Romo and his wild like Favre turnover nature keeps him from being MVP... his turnovers cost us 17 points... if its gonna be thrown out there that TO cost us 2 games... then Romo cost us atleast 2 also...

Like I said, IMO, no MVPs... but if Romo and TO had started the season I think it is a safe bet to say that TO gets around 16 TD's for the season easily...

I'm giving my opinion, not yours and the players on this team will vote for things like the offensive MVP of the team. Should be interesting who the players choose as their MVP.

I can agree with that. I am still pissed Romo didn't start this season after that scorching pre-season performance. We marked time for 3 1/2 games before Parcells woke up... Then he fell asleep again shortly thereafter.

Trying to rile everyone up, StarAmongStars? It's funny how you took shots at Romo while tooting Bledsoes's horn, knowing that many Romo lovers on this board will go berserk. And you cleverly took a shot at TG, knowing that LTN is going to be all over you. This is the kind of thread that could end up with 7 or 8 pages. And as far as who is the MVP, I don't think we had one this regular season, but Romo, TO and MBIII deserve props on offense. And DeMarcus Ware was a difference maker all year.

Not trying to rile anybody up....but the facts speak for themselves.

TO took Philly to a superbowl in his first year as an Eagle. Now granted we dont' have near the amount of talent (or coaching) that that eagles team did, but we still made the playoffs and TO will no doubt have a big game wheter we win or lose.

Speaking of MBIII....TO really opened up the offense for him to have so many touchdowns if you think about.

As for Ware....he has been anything but an MVP calibur player on defense (See Shawn Merriman. )

Trust me when I say you'll get no argument out of me where it pertains to TO's worth on the team. You're barking up the wrong tree. :D

That is a load of BS TO started the season and we did not do much, only when Romo entered the picture did this team do anything. Lastly the Dallas Cowboy players will vote on this issue you want to bet who they vote for as the offensive MVP?

Love him or hate him, there's a reason we are in the playoffs and it's not Tony Romo or Bill Parcells...

TO has been the most consistent player on this offense and has made plays no other receiver would have been able to. He started off somewhat slow with Bledsoe during his hand injury, and has made the most of Romo's limited passing abilities to quietly have 13 TD's and almost 1200 yards...pretty solid numbers.

Despite the man's larger than life ego and off field antics, he delivered. And without him we would not be a playoff team or even a .500 team for that matter. His season is even more impressive when you consider there was a snitch trying to undermine his star power all season (My guess is it was Terry Glenn).

The only gripe I have with TO is that he didn't stand up and support Bledsoe when he should have and should have. Obviously his numbers could have been real good if Bledsoe played the whole season and could have got the ball downfield to him.

I'm looking forward to seeing what TO will do next year with a real coaching staff that knows how to acclimate him into the game early and often. Also if Romo isn't the answer than we can bring in a strong armed QB that can get the ball downfield and then nobody will stop us!

That's B.S.

To me the MVP defines the one player that if we lost would change the complexion of the team and whatever side of the football they play on. Hence the word "valuable".

Romo and Owens are the only two players on offense that fit the bill. You could make the case that we would not be dead with Bledsoe. We would be completely impotent starting Patrick Crayton or Sam Hurd in place of Owens.

If you can't even admit that's a possiblity, this is just another pointless and polarized T.O. hate thread where rational thought goes out the window.

This has nothing to do with hate, this team was not doing much until Romo took over. He came in and lite a fire for the offense and helped turn the season around. In my view hands down Romo will get the MVP from his fellow teammates

Understood.

I was just adding as I went along in this thread...

You really have to look at many things when it comes to Romo and TO... Romo and his turnovers have killed us a few times(this is not a bashing Romo post) I would call him BEST Suprise player that he really helped us alot... but not MVP...

TO is getting the TD's and he is keeping drives alive
He is 3rd in getting a 1st down in the NFC being targeted 25 less times than the #1 WR

Torry Holt - 69 first downs - targeted 179 times
Roy Williams - 66 first downs - targeted 151 times
Terrell Owens - 62 first downs - targeted 152 times

My definition of a MVP player:

1) Makes the players around you better, on offense and defense....check
2) Single handedly takes over games....check
3) Leaves opponents in awe of greatness...check
4) Perseveres despite horrible coaching and agendas against them (Parcells all season)....check.
5) Without player would likely be a 3 or 4 win team (Indy without Manning, SD without Merriman and LT).....check.

Bledsoe was our MVP in 2005....and TO this year despite all the political scheming and angling by the media.

Much like the 70 yard BOMB that hit him like, right on stride against Washington? Is that not downfield enough for us?

You need to get past the regular season stuff... Romo gave the Lions 17 points. I am forgetting about 2006... you should TOO... focus alan, focus on 2007 and the task at hand.:starspin

Sir, yes Sir! By the way, have you seen Rocky Balboa? Rocky my favorite movie, and was surprised to hear RB is really good? Anyway, I thought what I commented on was someone bringing up last year, and Bledsoe throwing the ball downfield to TO. Honestly, I really don't care. If this guy that started this thread thinks that Bledsoe got the ball to TO downfield more than ROMO, well then....I hope his company doesn't do random drug testing. I am just bored! Hope we do well in 2007!

Owens in my mind can't be the MVP simply because he's not the central cog. Despite anything he or Glenn might think, for all anyone knows Crayton or Witten could take up the slack sufficiently. The offense runs on how Romo plays, how the running game works, and how the offensive line functions before it revolves around Owens.
