When I hear 'Talib' and 'ripped' together, I'm not thinking about football.

I'm not sure that's too far off base actually. However if we're drafting him at pick 28 or so I don't think it would be unrealistic for him to just project as a #2 CB. Hall was drafted around top 5 if I recall so obviously he's expected to be a shutdown #1. But I don't think we'd have so much invested in taking Talib that we would have to force him into that role if he couldn't handle it. I know whenever you take a player in the first you hope he can be THE guy, but really if he's starting and contributing at any position then you're doing alright.

I'd rather take a guy who I was confident in being able to be a #2 CB than take a guy like Jenkins or McKelvin who others are projecting as a #1 CB.

Oh, I agree. Depending on how 1-21 play out, I could see scenarios where I'd be very happy with him being taken at #28.

Pretty much, as a Boys fan, You gotta pick either Talib or Jenkins and hope one of them is there at 22.

Honest question, why do you like Jenkins over Cason? Or Talib for that matter?

Why isn't Porter higher on people's lists? He has the production but I don't know enough about him.

Other than the INTs, he had terrible college production. He was targeted too much. He gave up too many passes. And he gave up a ton of yardage and TDs.

Yeah he allowed nearly a 60% completion rate and by far the highest QB rating against of the "big name" CBs. I think he had a below average rate of plays on the ball too. Porter is one of those I think we HAVE to stay away from.
