I watched that episode last night. What's funny is, if most of those girls had a choice, they'd say "mom, I don't give a **** about any of this."

I bet this show is porn to pedophiles.

Some would probably say this, but I bet some wouldn't. They have been raised to believe they are better than others and should be presented to others as a princess, and kids will buy into that. Doesn't mean they won't eventually resent it as they grow older and see it for what it is, but for some the competition is the one place they feel special for mom and dad. Very sad.

It is a horrendous show. I watched it with my daughter once and was sick to my stomach. These moms and to some extent the dads as well, are so competitive they don't care that their kids don't want to do this. They are forcing them to get spray on tans, walk a certain way and talk a certain way they they are not mature enough to do.

Only a moron would defend these people. Truly disgusting.

I have watched the show and many of the tots seem to want to do it, they probably hate the spray on tan just like my son screams we are killing him when we put sun tan lotion on him. Mine sometime complains when we put his hockey equipment on, says I don't want to put that on etc but it doesn't mean he doesn't want to play.

Would you PLEASE stop associating your son and his hockey to dressing some 4 year old up as a hooker, because she wanted to be a hooker?

It's BEYOND strange!!

Might as well dress him up like a ***** and force him to compete in a pageant while you're at it! :laugh2:

It's not just the tan thing. You can't tell me these kids wouldn't rather be playing with their Barbie dolls instead going to walking lessons and talking lessons. They are 5 years old for crying out loud.

And there is no comparing hockey to this unless you are forcing your son to play hockey. And you are not dressing him like a hooker to play hockey.

Would you let your kid dress up like Larry Flynt for Halloween?

the principle is the same, the argument is parents force their children, that is not always the case

A proper analogy would have been Richard Gere in American Gigolo, Larry Flynt is not a hooker nor a pimp.

I just don't think anyone should judge the other parents, judge not lest ye be judged.

My wife and I were told once in an elevator when our son was in a stroller that we should get an agent and get him into acting as he had a good look and she could use him. We took it as a compliment but decided not to do it. However, I do not judge those parents that do put their children into acting. One of the boys on his team last year is also into acting. Dumb as a post (had to drop out of the french immersion class he was in with my son) and second worst player on the team but he loves to act and his parents put him in commercials and stuff. Hell maybe that will work out for him.

Not my business.

Your argument is over the analogy? One is just as repulsive as the other.

As far as acting goes I don't mind that as long as they aren't portraying 5 year old hookers and such.

Still can't believe there is someone.defending this. I know you and I have had our political and philosophical differences but dang. I thought we.might agree on at least this.

I'm not defending anything, I'm stating it is none of our business how another parent raises their child as long as there is no neglect/abuse.

As for Flynt being disgusting, unless you have seen Hustler, you really cannot comment on it.

I've seen little girls at Cowboys games dressed in the cheerleader outfits. That is certainly sexualizing the girls but no one seems to complain about that.

It will be a cold day in hell before you'll see my daughter in one of those.

funniest part was when we started with the Go Go dancers when we entered the new stadium, there were posters all up in arms over them while they looked at their cheerleader calendar.

I started watching this clip and was thinking "why is she dressed as Jessica Simpson?". Oops!

Dumb show, dumb people. I've heard about the show and seen clips on The Soup. Not worth watch, but worth mocking.

Irony is the while the little girls are usually cute little girls, the parents are usually butt ugly.

I don't watch much but my son likes it sometimes, especially when the girls do something ickly.

I've watched it with my wife before. We have never made it very far into the episode before saying how much we dislike the show and the parents for doing that to the kids.

One thing we noticed were most of the dads they show, seem so annoyed by the whole process, but realize their wives are forcing them and the child to play along with the mothers dream of what her daughter should be. But none of them are man enough to say "This is crossing the line, absolutely not!"

How many men really stand up to their wives? We all know our wives run everything. They let us think we are in control but in reality, they are pulling all the strings. We are but puppets in their world.

Umm...We talked about that before we got serious. Set rules about trust, lies, behavior, and do our own thing.

My wife would never ever be interested in doing something like that with any child, let alone our child.

Oh you might have agreed but if wife changes mind then boom you do what she wants.

I know I was always in favour of putting son in the club he is in now, but wife was against it. She decided it was good for him and boom he is in it.

How do I put this...you might be whipped.

Does not work that way. We talk about stuff and agree on it, if we disagree, we wait and talk until we come to something we agree on.
