Toddlers and Tiaras

I'm not defending anything, I'm stating it is none of our business how another parent raises their child as long as there is no neglect/abuse.

Putting young minds through that is certainly mental abuse. So yeah, it is our business...

I've seen little girls at Cowboys games dressed in the cheerleader outfits. That is certainly sexualizing the girls but no one seems to complain about that.

As someone else pretty much already stated in this thread, putting girls in those skanky cheerleader outfits is wrong and not defensible either.

How many men really stand up to their wives? We all know our wives run everything. They let us think we are in control but in reality, they are pulling all the strings. We are but puppets in their world.

Maybe in Canada...

are you a psychologist? if not, what credentials do you have to state that it is certainly mental abuse?

How do I put this...you might be whipped.

Does not work that way. We talk about stuff and agree on it, if we disagree, we wait and talk until we come to something we agree on.

ah so you are so whipped you don't even realize it, she lets you talk until you agree with her

because ultimately, women have something men will kill for and can hold out longer

yep, that's the bottom line except for guys who cheat, then, they are losers.

No, not a psychologist, but I am a Medical Doctor. I've had several months of training while on rotations in psychiatric hospitals and clinics with experience in inpatient and outpatient treatment.

Many, many people in the medical world would certainly consider forcing your very young daughters to dress up as hookers as mental abuse, whether the girls want to partake in it or not.

Both of you would be wrong.

No reason to ever cheat, I would leave if that was the point of how I felt about my relationship, before I would cheat.

My wife listens. I listen. We agree or disagree. If we disagree we do not force the other into a decision. That would be disrespectful.

the principle is the same, the argument is parents force their children, that is not always the case

Not always.

But when many of these kids are thrown into these pageants before they're are out of diapers, I'd say that is the case.

Most of these kids do it because they don't know anything different. Their entire lives have revolved around being a life-size dress up for their parents.

I would agree.

However kids at this age have no idea who they are imitating. That little girl doesn't know she looks like hooker Julia Robers, she just knows she's wearing another stupid outfit that her mom made her wear.

In all reality, that outfit is no different than many of the others on that show. Shows no more or less than many of the others.

It's the fact that the outfit represents a hooker that is disgusting. But for the child, she doesn't know that. Now, later on in life when she looks back and see her mom primped her up as a nightwalker, I'd bet that's gonna be a hell of a conversation to listen to.

Cheating is an at bat sport from what I've seen. So to say "men" are losers for cheating is extremely one sided. ;)

The term loser in the case of cheater encompasses both male and female. I myself have never in my 37 years cheated. I am almost assured that most women here have. Not calling you out as obviously, like me that isn't true for all women. :)

I'm just honest and accept my role in marriage. All guys who act like they aren't whipped just don't understand they are.

depends on definition of cheating, if you consider porn cheating, then 99.99999999999999999999999 of men have.
