The season is upon us and the Courts aren't compelled to expedite these matters. Had he decided to allow the NFLPA to handle their business...Hardy would be back by game 3. Now, he may miss 4 games by the time Judge Doty overturns his suspension due to Goodell retroactively punishing Hardy. He would get his game checks reimbursed but our Cowboys won't get back the two games he missed.

I'm not sure why you think the courts are not compelled to expedite these matters. First of all, they just did. Secondly, the NFL would absolutely look to settle in light of this ruling, effectively expediting the process. All Hardy has to do is get on a plane and appear. There are two weeks until the season starts and he's currently scheduled to be suspended anyway.

There is a lot more for him to gain (in pay) than there is to lose. He should absolutely file his case in court - if I'm the legal team, I would have the complaint on the fax machine for filing as of right now.

unless they defer any suspension until the case is ruled upon

Donald Trump said he talked to Tom Brady on the phone a week or two ago and that Brady had spent ten million dollars on legal assistance.

The Hardy suspension starts in 3 days, not 2 weeks. There doesn't seem to be anything in this ruling that would benefit Hardy because this ruling seems to be 100% focused on the unfairness of the arbitration process.

Judge Richard Berman has ruled in favor of Patriots QB Tom Brady and overturned his 4-game suspension. It means he'll be on the field for the season-opener against the Steelers next Thursday night and play a full 16-game season (barring injury).

I never doubted he would play against the Cowboys.

Looks like the Judge wasn't playing "Devil's Advocate" after all.

Sometimes a Judge slamming one side of a court case against the wall really is just a Judge slamming one side of a court case against the wall.

I mean what can it hurt for Hardy to file if the NFLPA thinks he has a case now?
