Why didn't the Commanders and Cowboys go this route in dealing with Goddellwhen dealing with the bogus cap penalties?

Goddell is such a joke. Wonder how much **** he has to suck to keep his job.

Because in the grand scheme taking on the 30 other owners and the commish could have been more costly than the penalties.

I believe that what this does is establish rules for fairness in arbitration. Pretty stupid how one man could serve as investigator, prosecutor, judge, jury, executioner AND arbitrator all in one case.

Hopefully next time something like this comes up, the NFL finds a truly impartial arbitrator. Heck, this case is far from over so hopefully we get a truly impartial arbitrator here.

I'm not sure why you think the courts are not compelled to expedite these matters. First of all, they just did. Secondly, the NFL would absolutely look to settle in light of this ruling, effectively expediting the process. All Hardy has to do is get on a plane and appear. There are two weeks until the season starts and he's currently scheduled to be suspended anyway.

There is a lot more for him to gain (in pay) than there is to lose. He should absolutely file his case in court - if I'm the legal team, I would have the complaint on the fax machine for filing as of right now.

I think you're misinterpreting my stance...we both agree that he should appeal. I just happen to believe he should have done so immediately.
