No one who actually watched that GB and 49-er games would blame the defense and receivers for those losses. When the QB is your limiting factor then the only way you progress is to get the ball out of his hands. That's how the Ravens won with Dilfer. Load up on defense and actually score and shut down opponents on defense and ask the limiting factor QB do very little.

It’s definitely a jab. TV personalities rarely go really hard on any of the players other than to point out that they maybe made the same mistake as before. Especially former QB’s talking about other QB’s. They use baby gloves typically. I doubt it gets any worse than this-it’s not good business unless you’re SAS or his ilk.
