You were right. I was wrong. It does not matter Sanchez wrote 'Brady was clearly cracking a joke after the audience's initial reaction to his comment, and it's a look into his personality that we didn't get to see when he was on the football field.' and the Sun article quotes, "Not a swipe at all. He just spoke [the] truth," one said. "That doesn't sound like much of a swipe," commented a second. My apologies.

I'm a bonafide Dak hater but even I felt a little bad when the reaction of the crowd is to burst out laughing after Brady said "Can Dak finally get it done?".

I mean, that's just cold lol
Is it any colder when other lesser known people say jokes about the Dallas Cowboys and laugh for decades? C'mon man. Tom Brady. The anointed greatest of all-time made a joke--excuse me--tossed a jab at Dak Prescott, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. The originality is who said it--not the phrase itself.

If the joke/jab has higher meaning for some because The GOAT said it, cool. Hopefully, he will improve on his delivery during his second career in broadcasting. That one was a tiny bit stiff coming out of his mouth. I am confident he will perfect it in time though. He's Tom Brady. ;)

I don't think it was a mean-spirited joke but it does mirror the perception that Dak didn't get a contract extension because the team doesn't totally believe in him. More funny in that it's not a thing a broadcaster would bring up in promoting a game or something like that. So, for the record, I think it could be both, intentional or not by Brady. His reaction seemed to skew towards unintentional and he would have probably chosen different words.
I think Brady meant it as a joke, one that he did not intend for Prescott to be offended by. Both play/played in the NFL. Prescott deserves criticism if he cannot handle a joke by one of his peers--even a former one.

As long as we rank number one as the most valuable team, then every season is a success to them. The usual posters are already hyping next season up after one of the most non active off seasons that i can remember, after Jerry said we would go all in lol
of course!!!! lol

"Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a huge draw. As America’s Team, that’s gonna get a little hard for me to say that all the time, understanding that they were the competition for a long time. But in this new role, I know how important the Cowboys are to this network," Brady said.

"They got great storylines. Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through. Did that just slip out?”
That Brady is just a hater for picking on our overpaid QB.

What's the joke though? Why would people find that funny if not in a "damn, that was harsh" kind of way?
Exactly! My wife says that when she says something she thinks might make me mad.

It doesnt sound like a hard "jab"...but doesnt look like a "joke" either.

Just a simple statement. Qbs get the glory and the pinch.

..I actually feel for McCarthy and Dak. THis is the year they need to prove themselves again.

That GB game, will linger for years.

I’m not sure how Prescott is supposed to prove anything in that game alone, but I can definitively say I’d be a lot more impressed if he wins that difficult matchup much more so than beating Brady’s 8-9 Bucs in the playoffs two years ago.

It’s definitely a jab. TV personalities rarely go really hard on any of the players other than to point out that they maybe made the same mistake as before. Especially former QB’s talking about other QB’s. They use baby gloves typically. I doubt it gets any worse than this-it’s not good business unless you’re SAS or his ilk.
I've been telling folks for years that what players, coaches, etc. say publicly is far different from what they think. Crazy that Brady didn't make it thru his first few sentences without those private thoughts coming out.

If people think that's a jab, they're too soft.

Just stating a point, let's see if he can finally break through. That is a factual statement.
all Brady is doing is stiring the pot...... because it is so damn easy to do.

He wants ratings, and hes just stiring, stiring, stiring that stew.

Did that just slip out? Give me a break. Nothing just "Slips out," of Brady's mouth.
Now we are moving on to Cleveland.
