Wow! Did you guys see this kid during the bench press ?
The spotter called him Rudy while he was lifting and without missing a beat, the kid shot back, Don't ever call me that again !
He said it like he would kick his butt if he did. This is the kind of strong safety I would want on my team. For me it was the best thing about the whole combine.

He is also a pro boxer. I would love to add him and Owen Schmitt and see them face off in training camp.

Yeah, he's going to make an apperance in my mock. He's a tough kid.

Josh Barrett is also worth a look at SS, one of the fastest 40's at 225 lbs. Not bad.

He's going to make one helluva ST ace, but I really don't want him playing centerfield anytime soon.

He cant cover worth a crap.

If we lose Keith Davis he would make a good replacement running down kicks.

This guy sucks as a safety, always late to the pile and a cheap shot type of player.

Well we've already got a safety that can't cover and takes cheap shots, guess we don't need two. :wink2:

No he wasn't kidding , he was pizzed. The spotter is the guy that always has some kinda nick-name for the players. I guess cause he was from N.D. he jokingly called him Rudy. The kid seemed to take offense about it , but didn't miss a lick pumping 225 lbs. I thought it was classic. The kid can be on my team anytime, anytime.

When I was in college after walking on to the tennis team, the coach called me Rudy. I was not amused.

And if he has to play you could be giving up Touchdowns at anytime, anytime.

At least the cheerleading coach didn't call you Rudy.

Did you ever think that might have had something to do with the whole team sucking around him?

Draft him in the third round and let him develop behind Roy this season and then replace him in 2009.

Plus he can return punts this season.

And he can knock Rowdy out a few times at training camp.

With that kind of reaction from the kid, I bet he's been called Rudy a million times! :laugh2:
