On par with the league calling off the hall of fame game last year (although for different reasons). It certainly affects the competitive nature of things since there are players whose careers were potentially hanging in the balance. A player on the bubble who just lost his chance to make a final impression - not good.

Also, it makes the league look like a fickle 14 year old girl who can't make up her mind. First the game might be in Houston, next it's moved to Dallas with a bunch of announcements and talk of donating proceeds to relief efforts, and now it's called off. Of course this is also the same league (and venue) that couldn't figure out how to get everyone their allotted seats at the Super Bowl a few years back.
