Difference is that Young never improved as regards throwing the ball. Ryan was doing fine at that. Comparing Ryan to young is stupid. Their cases and everything else is completely different.

Fair enough. Then look at Rick Mirer then. Walsh called him the next Joe Montana. Tore the league up his rookie year and fell off the face of the earth. My point is that he's been in the league 1 year. I just don't think the Falcons are that good. They have some MAJOR holes to fill. That defense will lose them multiple games alone.

Actually, Atlanta was able to let those 2 players go b/c they had young guys pushing them. Lofton is their new MLB, has much better range than Brookings does now. And there are no first round 4-3 OLBs in the draft, other than Curry who is a top 5 pick. Plus they signed Mike Peterson, who can play all 3 positions.

Falcons may address LB early, but not with their first pick. They have bigger needs on the interior of their DL and at safety (Milloy is still a FA far as a I know).

Thanks.

Bad news for Slate then.

:laugh1:

I thought my original LB post might make him feel better of our chances in landing Delmas.

I'm going to convince myself into denial that they will pick a DE.

Braylon Edwards can still make big plays. you guys act like all he does is drop the ball. T.O. was right behind him in drops the last few years.

Don't worry about it... I heard that the Edwards trade is beyond dead since the Browns are sticking with their request of a 1st rounder and Kiwi...

No way should ATL be giving up a 2nd rounder for Tony Gonzalez at this point in his career. That's way too much for a team in that position.
