Aikman was my hero. That's when I fell in love with the Dallas cowboys. Romo deserve to be in aikman's category. Frankly I think it's a slap in the face to Troy. He was the epitome of a winner.

B**** slap. Since you guys want to make me out as a troll. I'll just play along. Aikman was a mediocre QB. Jason Garrett could have won those Super Bowls. Heck, I bet Tebow could have won 4 Super Bowls.

You're lumping romo into aikman's category to push your agenda of romo "ball sucking"
Aikman has rings. Tony has not came through when it mattered. Like it or not, that's how he is perceived

Aikman is a terrible QB. Terrible. I don't know how he got drafted 1st.

I'm just going along here. I'm not allowed to have an opinion. I mean sheesh. I've to listen to 10 billion Romo haters a day but, God forbid I be one person that doesn't think Aikman is the God of QB's.

I think one of the best traits Aikman had was that he was so damn reliable and clutch. Now, he did have a team around him that did not dictate him putting them on his shoulders, but his most enduring quality is that you did not have to worry about Aikman losing games for you. He would not be "that guy" that committed a costly turnover when the game was on the line. Also, I think Aikman was a brilliant leader and demanded aboslute accountability from even the biggest stars on the team and he was that calm presence the guys needed when the game was on the line....the bigger the game, well, that's when Aikman was at his best IMO.

Like I said earlier, one can definitely make the argument that Romo is one of the best Cowboys ever, but he is not Aikman IMO. Hey, that's no knock on Tony, but it has everything to do with the kind of player Aikman was and the kind of players this franchise has had, thats all. Romo is a very good QB, no doubt.

Lol....Yeah, I guess this thread has turned into an Aikman soliloquy. Hey, it feels like it was 40 years ago when Aikman played.

We love you haters too. We'll pay for your nearest retirement home. Please seek it out. You're tired, old and without wisdom.

And you love, and are ok with two decades of the same exact stuff!!!!!! Your part of this generation where everyone gets a trophy for participating. The moral victory guy,,,, laughable.

Im with you Cebrin, glad , so glad we found Romo.
Aikman could not do what Romos done with the lines Romo has had. Having said that Im not sure Romo could have done what Aikman did with the lines he had either. Romo could move around Troy a great pocket passer. Both were and are my favorite Cowboys while they played.

Hats off to our QB. He played with a Lions heart. Despite the haters, I still got mad love for my boy. Somebody drag Kiffin to the closest Geriatric Ward. Go ahead and drag the Romo haters with him. They're getting old too.

It was a spectacular day for Romo and he hurt as much as any fan. Romo's secret sauce, however, is his millions and we half our two-day old onion dip from Sunday.

Aikman and Romo are different players entirely. Aikman would have 10 conc

tony is amazing. the guy plays with broken ribs, punctured lungs. he has heart. is he perfect, hell no. i feel bad that hes had to work with mediocre to bad coaching, with mediocre to bad defenses, with mediocre to bad olines and still has put the numbers and kept the cowboys in many games they had no business being in. how many times do you remember the defense pulling out the game for us.. its happened but its been far and few between. anyone who blames tony for the cowboys failures aren't the most football savoy people. im not gonna call them stupid but those people tend to make snap judgments on simple emotions without really thinking things out.

This game is a historical proof that Tony Romo is the greatest quarterback to ever play for this franchise. This game defines the Romo era, and it proves once again that without Romo, this team would be meaningless and a losing franchise the past 7 years. It's too much pressure for Romo, constant change of defensive coordinators, schemes, players, etc, he just has to play perfect ball in order for this team to achieve, and truth is no quarterback, no human has ever been flawless at any level.

I too will join this thread's bandwagon; Tony, I love you man, you are the greatest Cowboy I have ever seen.

Then you never saw Staubach play....... Romo could not carry his strap. Sorry.

You've been here all of a month and you calling someone a troll. Carry on. Your brown nosing on a real site , not an ESPN message board...

Troll: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. My post was a positive message about a our great QB. Your response was the definition of troll. If you don't like him. Start your own thread Called "Tony Romo..I hate you man."

This site isn't like other sites, go back where you came from....This site allows folks to have their opinions without being attacked and called names....It's a novel concept isn't it???
READ THE RULES SON...
#8 - You will not personally attack or insult other members

I suppose calling me SON is not insulting? I'm a grown man with children. You're righted to your opinion as much as anyone here. I gave you the definition of trolling someones post. It's a verb, not a noun. You came in here to stir the pot and now play innocent. That's fine. At least post this sort of stuff with the rest of your posts and not in my inbox. If I actually offended you which I am sure I did not, then I sincerely apologize.
