More than anything, this is what's happening. In a passing league now, that's not a good thing for RB's.
It’s a passing league and the price for every position is going up. QBs and WRs money has skyrocketed. Some teams have moved on from WRs (Tyreek Hill and AJ Brown) because they can’t afford to pay them. With the short shelf life RBs have they’re taking a big hit. Teams are getting what they can out of them from their rookie deals and move on.

Zeke's decline began after his rookie season.
YPC, YPT, YPTch all highest in his rookie season.
It was the decline of our OL that caused him not to reach his rookie numbers. He came up just short of 1000 yards his second year because he missed six games due to a suspension. He put up over 1400 yards in year year three and over 1300 in year four with a declining OL. The retirement of Travis Frederick really hurt our OL. His decline began to become real noticeable in year five, plus Pollard was getting more and more of his carries, which hurt his production.

NFL RB isn't the only occupation that has suffered a decline due to changing times.

Where will we find sympathy for the milkman, the cobbler, the TV repairman?

You can't take a step backward just to make someone's job more relevant.
All three of those examples are too too funny. Tough to imagine that I am actually from a time where those three actually existed! The Cobbler??!!

It was a joke…

How many times have we seen a story about a player on vacation, and fans whined that they were watching film. Such as Romo and Witten in Cabo or something like that.

So I was just joking because of that……
You never know on this site.

I don't know what they hope to get out of the summit. Could they all stage a walk out and then have the guy behind them take their job?

In TPs case he is seeing more money this season than he ever has so can't see him joining that.

We are currently organizing a fund raising drive to raise money for the affected running backs and their cause. Bake Sale, Silent Auctions, Tupperware parties as well as a Go fund me page are being utilized to combat this tragedy and raise the urgently needed money

our main goal is to ensure that no running back goes without a new Bentley in 2023 so please give as much as you can.

Like Whitney Houston taught us all, “Financially helping the running backs of the NFL is the greatest love of All”…….and so easy to achieve
We’re gonna see a commercial about needy RBs and how we can donate to help their cause. Like the sad commercials about abused and neglected animals. Maybe we can get a shirt if we donate.

Most of QBs are now teams RBs. Why pay big money to a player when the QB takes his carries.

RB Nick Chubb on the state of the RB market following Saturday's Zoom call: "Right now, there's really nothing we can do,"

"We're kind of handcuffed with the situation. We're the only position that our production hurts us the most. If we go out there and run 2,000 yards with so many carries, the next year they're going to say, you're probably worn down. It's tough. ... It hurts us at the end of the day."

Ekeler: Everybody here? Okay, good. Everyone, welcome to the 1st annual running back summit where we hope to address the diminishing value and market of our position. All ideas will be discussed with an open mind before building a consensus on our best course of action. Now let us begin by asking the room, what can we do to improve our market value?

Room: Nothing.

Ekeler: Damn! Thanks for the time, guys. Meeting adjourned.

its nothing you can really do...if you carry the ball 300+ times for 2k yards theyre gonna lowball you and say your body is breaking down

and then history isnt on your side....alot of rbs have a short shelf life and owners dont wanna pay

I feel for them. They deserve to get paid the way their bodies are exposed so early into their careers.

Maybe their rookie contracts should be larger
It has got to be something right? This league preaches about safety and player first crap yet their actions show something different. RBs are really at a disadvantage especially considering the contact they are subject to. Something needs to change. I still think the answer is salary cap carve outs or discounts for players you draft.

Why is he not doing rehab work. We need to see that he is running and cutting…but …noooo…they need to cry about their paychecks….
Do you really imagine he should be doing 16 hours a day of rehab work? Is that really the argument here?
