Ever see a fat guy in the Tour de France?
You have NEVER seen a Tour de France and are full of made up unapplicable excuses. I have been in Europe for a total of 5 years deployed. Yes, there are many participants in bicycle races that are NOT fragile looking and could double in movies as a football player. So, your made up stereotype serves not much purpose beyond diverting from a point.

but that's not their plan for pollard this year he will get the splits he was getting last year while they deploy the running back by.... he will still be the number one back. you don't have to be a bell cow 3 down back to be considered the number one back..

they've been doing it all around the league with all them guys that are very similar to TP

it's not like saquon barkley has fared well taking the punishment.. back to back seasons where he totaled maybe 600 total yards?? part of being a bell cow back is being able to handle the punishment like Emmitt smith and henry has.

this is why i don't consider saquan barkley generational... he's just one of the better backs right now of his era he's really good. sometimes hes even great but not special or generational.
He is top shelf arrived for about two years now, even...

Again no one saying this guy isn't good or great at times he just is not generational! You can't water down and dilute what that really means for a player like him that has not shown it consistently.. How many Rush crowns does he have? elite truly elite seasons?

This^ The fact is he dont have to be the bell cow all he has to do is perform similar to last year and pick up a few more touches but hes got a #2 and Duece is probably gonna get some touches as well. I guess you can probably bet he wont be plaing center. Screw KM
+1000....on all counts especially screw km!:p

No...he was NOT last season.

Was he the better performing RB? Yes...131 more yards on 38 less carries.

Tony also did have more receptions...but of course....however...

"Bell cow" means you get the ball. A LOT!

" It refers to the "lead" running back, basically an every-down player who is the clear starter who can carry a full load "

Week after week.

It remains to be seen if he can fulfill that role this year. Depends on the plan and his durability.
All, or at least most, teams want a bell cow back. Using RB by committee is what teams are forced to do simply because they don't have a bell cow back. If you are using RB by committee, that means you have failed to fill the RB position at a high level.

And I'm telling you that I don't see saquon Barkley Kamara Christian McCaffrey as bell cows,, none of them are generational either..
Agree. They keep trying to make(pay) McC a bell cow, but he keeps getting hurt w/ too many touches. Which will in all likelihood keep happening due to his build.

Trindon Holiday, 6th round.(5-5)
Jakeem Grant, 6th round(5-6)
Deonte Hardy, UFA(5-6)
That was easy.

The league is littered w/ guys who are 5-7 to 5-8, many weighing the same or less. JJ Taylor for the Pats is 5-6.
Yeah, that's a whole lot of superstars you just listed there. Jerry Rice is shaking in his grave and he isn't even dead yet.

you're making this way too easy now and we've come full circle many greats were late rounders or were undrafted and became great.. so, yes my proof of his college career....am closer to my evaluation than yours.. so yes GM's and fans make mistakes all the time! yep i know what i need to do with you....and we've already had this discussion...

bad players are picked in high rounds in our busts by these perfect GM's and coaches that you speak of....
Like I said, you're right and Bellicheck, Howie Roseman and the rest of them are wrong. Stardom is coming for the 5'5 RB. Maybe it's because you watched him and they didn't. I think most believe he is very limited because of his size and pass blocking. He could be fantastic but most likely Darren Sproles fantastic and not Emmitt Smith fantastic.

5'5" is the limiter of a man? No, it's still on the man. Big, fast, pot belly or bean pole...they are developed by what is in THAT man. There are ways around all obstacles.
Absolutely but we haven't seen it yet on the professional level.

This all reminds me when the Eagles drafted the leading rusher in the NCAA who went late because he was undersized and couldn't pass block. He ran for 2133 yards as a senior smashing Marshall Faulks school record. He added over 200 yards receiving as well as a senior and finished his college career with 6405 rushing, 1039 receiving and 67 TDs. That star was Donnell Pumphrey.

Looks like you have to now change the parameters. Why not just say, dang, didn't know there were that many? That garners respect.

Tarik Cohen(5-6) caught 203 passes in 3 years, then got derailed by injuries.

Jakeem Grant(5-6) made a probowl.

Unless you have to narrow it even further just as an attempt to be right.

We were talking about if he was going to be a force in this league not if there were small guys who contribute very little. That was my point. I'm m guessing he does very little just like the guys you listed. But, maybe he can make plays and be a great addition like a Sproles. This guys acting like he's the next Barry Sanders.

Little guys get hurt. Grant was a fantastic punt returner. We aren't talking Barry Sanders like some people are predicting.
