he also doesn't have two or is it three SB losses like Staubach ;)
And he hasn't played in 4 SBs like Roger either

I am defending Staubach, not picking on Romo

I haven't calculated QB rating yet. I will try and get that to you in a few mintues.
Geez, in another 3-4 years he'll own the top 5 spots in every category.

Staubach choked in big games too, but he gets a pass because most that post here were too young to remember. If Romo lost to the equivalent of the Rams in 1979, he would have been roasted big time.

Not like I remember things that happened when I was 4 years old and I only remember wins, not losses.
Yeah, it is only important Cowboys History. I was 3 years old for the Ice Bowl and I can tell you about the entire game.

He did?

When was that?

All I wanted to see is him perform without Owens, and he just blew my mind this year. I don't see how he collapses. And like I've mentioned before, his pass protection is the worst of these GREAT players ( Favre/Tom Brady/Peyton Manning/ Drew Brees )

If he had the pass protection of these QBs, he would destroy all records.

other than fact he is well overdue for a bad game, I agree

He didn't have a very good game against the Packers or Skins (1st game) when we scored all of 7 points in both games. This seemed to be a stretch when we were blitzed alot and having trouble getting the blitzers blocked and hitting the hot reads quickly.

If I were to pick anything that improved since the skid in mid-season, that's what I'd point my finger at.

losing in SBs aren't considered chokes? losing a playoff game at home isn't a choke?
You might want to look at the stats for those 2 Super Bowls before you shoot your mouth off about something you know nothing about.

you lose you choked, that is the rule at cowboyszone.com, I am just playing by the rules

losses are also all on the QB at cowboyszone.com, pure and simple

You're in a bad mood tonight. C'mon man.

Those aren't the "rules." Man, that was dumber than the post claiming he choked in big games.

We all do.

White wasn't forgettable, he just wasn't as good as Romo, Aikman and Staubach.

There is still something to be said about getting to watch the most entertaining QB in the league if not the best QB in the league right now.

If you were to pick a QB to win the SB this year for your team, who would you choose?

I would have said I'd have taken P. Manning, Brady, Rivers and Brees over Romo. After how well he has played down the stretch, I'll take Romo over any of them. He's just about as accurate as any of them and has more escapability and improvisational skills than any of them. He is also just as good as any of them at ball protection (especially when you include fumbles and discount balls that hit his receivers in the hands before being interecepted).

First of all, anyone that watched him play and doesn't have an agenda against him knows that Danny was a damn good QB and most certainly is not "forgettable". Second, I think Romo is darn good, but I would not say he is better than Danny untill he wins some playoff games (which starts this year). I will give you that Roger and Troy were better.

One of my earliest childhood memories is the Orange Crush Super Bowl. I was a hair over 3 years old at that time. Funny how those games imprint on you.

It is true that there are some individuals that only want to consider rings when determining who is a good QB and who isn't.

If we all followed that logic, we would all believe that Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer were better QBs than Fran Tarkenton and Dan Marino.

Question: Brett Farve was on the winning and losing side in SBs. Does that make him a "choker" like Roger? Is Tom Brady?

If you re-read what I wrote, I didn't say Danny White was forgettable. I was a big fan of his, too.

Second, playoff win or no playoff win - Romo is better than White ever was. That's just the inescapable truth. That's not to say Danny White was a bad QB. It's just that Romo is going to end up in the HOF in the end barring injury. He is already getting his name inserted into the NFL record books in many categories, not just the Cowboys' passing records.

For the record, I actually do think Romo is now a better QB than Aikman was. I think he will perform well for us in many playoffs to come - whether we win will depend on the team as a whole.
