Once the "it's a team game" narrative comes out, shows you really have nothing to stand on. It's only a team game when the guy you are touting just didn't win in his career. But if Romo did win, now it's all about him. Good but not great player. Absolutely not a HOF player. It's extremely watered down if he is.
Okay buddy...you can;t play it both ways to suit your agenda.

Is Dan Marino a HoF QB?

Is it Dak's fault we haven;t gotten to NFC championship?

Oh good lordy this will be good!

Well..to be honest with you..I am not really sure.

What I AM sure about...is me being confused about other peoples requirements for it.

I think Romo OVER-ACHEIVED..
He has some AWESOME QB stats...that PROVE he was no choker.
He has some UNBELEVEIABLE highlights that very Few other QB have.

He had some very bad teams

I see people judge Romo with stringent requirements that they do NOT judge other Cowboys Qbs with.

Team wins....or not?

Come on man, let’s calm down the insult rhetoric here. If you’re mad take a break before you get a mandatory break.
Not mad....just want some level fair discussions. People are using a different scale. It's no reason to be mad either way.

Wins are a team game or they are not. Very simple no reason to be mad.

:laugh:You have nothing to stand on in a team game that’s actually a team game?

Now that is one back-asswards comment. The HOF is about individual player accomplishments not team accomplishments although being on great teams certainly helps a great player to get in.

Great player but not an HOF career... Didn't win enough when it mattered.

You dont have a valid argument so you are making up nonsense so the romosexuals dont have to take down their romo posters in their rooms
He absolutely does have a valid argument. The comparisons to Marino (and Tarkenton and other great players who never won a SB) were in response to assertions that Romo doesn’t have the hardware or whatever to be in the HOF. This is a false assumption. That is why I mentioned Archie Manning because I was under the mistaken impression that he was in the HOF, likely because I heard it a long time ago and conflated college HOF with the NFL HOF. Nevertheless, there are other examples like the ones provided that make the same point. Now, if you don’t think he has the stats or wasn’t good enough or didn’t have enough playoff wins that is a more rational judgement, but induction into the HOF is primarily an individual matter, not a team one. Being a QB of a team that wins a SB helps to put a player in, but it is not enough because there are also plenty of SB winning QBs who aren’t in the HOF, e.g., Dilfer, Rypien, etc. The contrary is not only the case for QBs, but for other players as well. The fact of the matter is, Romo’s induction into the HOF should not be just a matter of team accomplishments in the postseason. A wholistic analysis of why he did not enjoy success must be made along with his great organizational and general stats as an individual QB outside of them. For one, Romo was under Garrett as his OC and head coach for most of his career and Jerry without McClay as GM. Compare that to Marino being under HOF coach Shula and the winningest coach in the NFL for much of his. There are other stats like defensive rankings of teams that won SBs and the like. I’m not going to go into all of them. Suffice is to say that the argument that he doesn’t have enough playoff wins or SBs is not enough to keep him out.

Yes, wins are a team thing, but in fairness, the QB has more opportunity to influence wins/lossess than any other player.

And, like it or not, HOF voters do tend to give some weight to postseason.

I understand your argument about Marino, but he did go to the playoffs 10 times and got to the Super Bowl once, plus at the time he retired, and at the time he retired, and still at the time he was elected to the HOF, he had the most passing yards of any QB in NFL history. Again, like it or not, that's a stat fans, media and HOF voters pay attention to.
