Tony Romo had 248 tds to 117 ints & 97.1 passer rating..With a 65.3% completion rate..24 comebacks & 29 game winning drives..He only started in 127 games..1st QB to have 200 tds & under 100 ints..
With only 2 wild card playoff wins, his resume’ is ROH worthy, but not HOF worthy. If he had had more than one single gw drive on his playoff ledger, maybe.

Is it a team game or not?

I guess when it's convenient.

Those are some nice regular season comebacks. Like I said, Romo was a very good QB and I appreciate his as that. But HOF QBs don’t usually make it just regular season accomplishments. Sadly, Romo only had one comeback win in a playoff game which fair or not is a big factor in HOF credentials.

Most HOF QBs also are ALL PRO at least twice. TR was a second team All Pro once in 2014. He made the pro bowl4 times in 9 seasons as a starter. That’s good, just not great.

"only two wild card playoff wins"....means romo isn't viable?

Are wins a team stat?

Or not?
Fair or not, HOF QBs are judged by how they helped their team win playoff games. That’s not all on TR that we didn’t win more than 2 WCgames in his career. But in his 9 seasons as a starter, the Cowboys only made the playoffs 4 times.

For sure some of that is on the team. But some is on Romo too. That 2007 team was really good and so was the 2008 and 09 teams, but they underperformed. Again, I liked Romo as our QB. But I’m just trying to be objective based on what gets QBs in the HOF. He doesn’t meet that bar.

Let's try to stay focused....

are wins a team stat or not?

I have shown proof romo does help the team win....in that clip...someone did post some personal stats. We'll bring them out....but that does get off topic to my question.

If you want to stand by your "romo only won two playoff games".....okay.

Are wins a team stats or not?

And...I have given examples of romo PUSHING the team to win. His fault it wasn't playoff wins? mkay.

Like I just said...I have shown Romo being a WARRIOR...helping the team WIN.

If you are being "objective"...then what plays made us lose because of him? And how many times did HE...put us in position to be ABLE to lose because of him?

I just don;t get why you blame HIM. Help me understand.

Once the "it's a team game" narrative comes out, shows you really have nothing to stand on. It's only a team game when the guy you are touting just didn't win in his career. But if Romo did win, now it's all about him. Good but not great player. Absolutely not a HOF player. It's extremely watered down if he is.

Yes wins are a team stat. Agreed. Romo had a really good career here and I appreciate that very much. He will be in the ROH for sure.

Are QBs placed in the HOF with a resume’ like Tony Romo? No they typically aren’t.
And I didn’t say I didn’t like Romo. I do. I’m just answering the question - will he get in the HOF? No I don’t believe he deserves to be.

Steve you are welcome to disagree. I’m just trying to be honest here. Romo is not going to make the HOF anytime soon. You and I don’t get to decide who gets in. Thats just the way it works.

Okay...sorry for the heat. I was just caught up in the "romo only won two playoff games".

I am not arguing that he belongs or not.

He has some awesome stats and some WHAT THE ... was that plays.

Like it or not you can not tell the story of the NFL without Eli. He is a hall of famer all day
Not to go off track but you couldn't tell a lot of NFL history without Drew Pearson and it took him way too long to get in......I digress, but I agree with you on Eli.
