How about three weeks? Or is that asking too much? It wasn't just the soul-crushing loss to Philly but also his cavalier comments after the game, which rightly drew the attention (and consternation) of Roger and Troy. So for him to be seen enjoying himself when most fans were still crying in their beers tells me that he's either oblivious to everything around him (doubtful) or he just didn't give a ****.
Then you've never worked in PR. You must realize by now that this team has an image problem.
Based on his own comments, there's no evidence that the loss hurt him at all. He went straight into "aw shucks" mode, which is also how he rationalized his turnovers against Baltimore. I used the term "tin ear" for a very good reason.
I like Tony, but he has a lot of things to work on--and not just on the field.
Didn't someone just post an interview with Tony the other day on these forums where he was asked about those comments, and how they made fans and such mad, and he acknowledged he understood exactly why they felt that way, and that if he saw someone do it that's exactly how he'd take it too but that he said those things at the time because he was trying to put up a front to try and make himself feel better about how crappy the season had ended?
I could have swore that there was an interview up from that, I think on that Babe thing where he went over the 10 things about Romo, so that interview alone tells me he knows how things are going to be taken and that he understands how things are. I don't need him crying for a month, and being a recluse, to know that the loss hurt him and that he hated it.
And I certainly haven't worked PR so I wouldn't know anything about how they'd want something like this handled but i think the media, and the fans, talk out of both sides of their face on issues like this.
Romo gets crucified for not being emotional enough, or showing enough hurt, after the loss to the Eagles but Owens cries after the loss to the Giants and he's crucified for being a giant sissy.
