Parcells took guys like Sims, who was not all that highly regarded because he was an excellent decision maker. He played Hostetler when a lot of people didn't even think he should have kept him on the rosters. Here in Dallas, he stuck with older QBs for a long time rather then going with younger guys for the exact same reasons.

Coach Landry stuck with White longer then many wanted him to, even when White was seriously injured. He dind't play Roger until he felt he could trust him. Coach Landry valued the same kinds of things. I mean, I guess I don't understand what the issue is here?

You still didn't answer my question.

Probably because neither Parcells nor Landry have EVER shunned a "stat machine QB" like you said they did. You made it up to fit an agenda.

You could.. but out of the 53 players, if I were to rank them in order from 1 to 53, with 1 being the biggest problem and 53 the least problem, Romo would be number 53. He is a great QB and we are lucky to have him. How about we get a good team around him and see what happens. Romo has to play a perfect game every week to give this sorry bunch of players and coaches even a chance to win, that is not fair to him. No QB is asked to do more than Romo. It is just silly to count Romo among the problems of this team.

My man, you are peeing up a tree trying to convince ufcrules that Romo IS NOT the biggest problem on this team. It is a waste of you time.

Ah Roy.. just let them have their fun and keep playing the stats game. That is all they have left to work with.

I mean, there's no question our defense is by far the biggest problem.. but let's not act like Romo doesn't have any flaws of his own.

Not to mention this coaching staff.. Murray has been our best player on offense all year and its like we don't even realize it. If the defense can't stop the run, why do we stop it ourselves? Gahhh..

I did answer the question. Neither Coach went after the guys who were more interested in stats then winning. They were interested in QBs who played within the system and wanted to win more then they wanted to put up numbers. I mean, what's your deal here? The fact that they valued that, more so then maybe a guy who was thought of more highly, is proof of what I just said. All you have to do is look at the way their QBs played.

Are you trying to tell me that those guys were more interested in the Dan Marino's and Brett Farve's of the world? OK, I'm game. What's your proof that they were?

Yeah, everyone knows the defense is horrific (Because of Jerry hiring Kiffin and also over paying players who are no longer producing) but what is the offenses excuse? They are sitting there at 100% health and can't do squat. You better believe Romo deserves blame. It is 100% undeniable that he does. This team is collapsing because of Jerry and his bad decisions. I swear that man sold his soul to the devil years ago.

How much did you pay for it?

So he shouldn't get credit for the wins but he shouldn't be blamed for the losses. So he's 0-0 on the season. Fair enough.

Maybe he was just trying to showcase the fact that its going to take a full team effort for us to win games, and that when we win, its not just Romo carrying us to victory.

What's your proof that they weren't? The burden of proof is on YOU, not on me.

Were Marino or Favre available to either coach? Uh, no they weren't. Because teams that have "stat machine QBs" tend to hold onto them, what with the interest in winning and all.

How many proven "stat machine QBs" do you think are generally available to be plucked off of the QB tree?

In the last 3 games we are 5th in points scored, despite the defense only being 26th in takeaways. We have the 7th fewest Giveaways in that time span, and yet still rank 30th in points allowed. They don't need an excuse.

love how people want romo out for some unproven rookie when even qb's like drew breese go 7-9 when they have a team with no defense. i mean we could just trade for peyton, yea lets just do that.

We could have just signed Peyton a couple years ago if we were smart..

Offense cannot do squat? What planet do you live on? 5th in scoring in the league during this period is SQUAT?

I know your need to hate Romo is obviously great, but come on you are now in La La land. You make AL Davis look sane. Like in his last year...
