I remember watching NFL network right after it happened and David Carr said that he had almost the exact same hit early in his career and it broke his back and he missed 8 weeks. This was before it was reported that Tony's back was broken mind you, it was right after the game when it looked like he escaped injury.
Yeah....heard that too.
Although it's very rare, it does apparently happen every few thousand plays or so.
terrible luck

The point is, a young QB David Carr, took an almost identical hit and it broke his back, just like Romo. The original poster who is notoriously full of it, claimed he got bumped and broke his back which is just blatantly false.

I tell everyone that anyone in the position on that tackle gets injured...10 out of 10 horrible and dirty decision to tackle romo that way. Not that this has anything to do with the OP but Skip bayless called out mike Jenkins for pulling up on dak and I though to myself geez he is pulling up on a 6 '2 QB dak must be a untouchable out there and he doesn't even know it because if that was #9 planted in the ground shoulder right to the mid section..
