I think Tony's the one for us, but I don't agree with that particular statement.

Everyone on here would say the same thing, but...

there's a reason why Roger didn't "shake hands" with the other team after a game.

Its a losers mentality. Unfortunately it is his head coach's mentality.

But honestly, ask yourself, could you EVER hear Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman make a statement like that?

Roger who couldn't stand to lose a ping pong game?

Aikman, whom Moose Johnston described as the most competitive person he has ever met? Darren Woodson said that Aikman was all about winning.

I honestly believe it is time to draft a QB and get ready for 3 or 4 years down the road. Romo has a lot of good abilities, and I hope for better from him, but that kind of talk is absolute nonsense after a loss like that.

Is it true? Yes. Do you say that at this time? No And someone better teach him that, and I hate that he could actually FEEL that way after such a loss. that is the kind of stuff you say after you have reflected and the hurt of a loss goes away, not at a post game podium.

Tony Romo? We'll see. But the "big game" criticism is an old one.

Dude, I don't think he "enjoys" losing or is indifferent to it. He's getting philosophical about it. There are a billion things worse than losing.

Problem is, we care about the loss, Romo cares about the loss, but what are you gonna do?? You can't shoot someone or jump off a bridge. You just move on.

ech, this sucks.

Understand but he is paid well to WIN!

Anybody with a brain who watched the game today could see that Romo is a competitor. Romo needs a QB coach, OC, or HC that can rein him in and knows how to deal with him. Maybe Holmgren.

If losing a sporting event is the worse thing that ever happens to me,i have had a wonderful life.He said that at the post game press conference.I like Romo but that statement bothers me.

Hell,i live and die with these guys and thats his attitude.Where is the anger, where is the frustration? That is why i love a player like Ray Lewis so much. When his team loses he is pissed.

That's whats missing from Romo.... No ownership in his part in the loss, no leadership, just a piss poor attitude overall. :banghead:

texan_by_birth, Romo is more crushed than you will ever be over what happened today. He had to compose himself after a horrendous performance by himself and his teammates. He had also just collapsed, so he had a different perspective than he normally would've. I refuse to believe that these guys don't care. They do care and that's what makes is all so disturbing.

I here what you are saying brother and i agree for the most part.I know he is hurting, but imo you dont say things like that.Would Troy,Emmitt or Michael ever say something like that...Hell no.

I heard that too, and thought, what the heck??? I know there is nothing you can do about the loss now, but to almost dismiss it, as Meh?

Romo is factually and philosophically correct in his statement.

But as fans we would love to hear things like...

"I made some poor decisions today. We didn't get it done.

I am going to spend a lot of time over the next few weeks looking at the film from this game to see what I could do better to make us more competitive."

Maybe it's just hyperbole but we don't want to think we,a s fans are in this alone and the players have a cavalier attitude about it.

The point is, we didn't make a half a million dollars today. Some of them did.

If he totally lost his mind and wrung his hands there would be some that question his mental fortitude and ability to handle the pressure that playing in the big show brings.

It's a no-win situation for him. Regardless of what he says, or doesn't say, there will be someone to complain about something.
