Hell,i live and die with these guys and thats his attitude.Where is the anger, where is the frustration? That is why i love a player like Ray Lewis so much. When his team loses he is pissed.

He's right though in an overall sense. Same with me, if I lose a case at work, I figure oh well, I did my best.

Got to love the way he always pouts and sulks when something bad happens. He's immature, not a leader and doesn't have "it".

Romo is not a winner and not a good NFL QB. He's a good stop gap but we have no QB to get after him. I think we need to draft a Matt Stafford or another young QB to compete with him in a couple of years.

Its a losers mentality. Unfortunately it is his head coach's mentality.

But honestly, ask yourself, could you EVER hear Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman make a statement like that?

Roger who couldn't stand to lose a ping pong game?

Aikman, whom Moose Johnston described as the most competitive person he has ever met? Darren Woodson said that Aikman was all about winning.

I honestly believe it is time to draft a QB and get ready for 3 or 4 years down the road. Romo has a lot of good abilities, and I hope for better from him, but that kind of talk is absolute nonsense after a loss like that.

Is it true? Yes. Do you say that at this time? No And someone better teach him that, and I hate that he could actually FEEL that way after such a loss. that is the kind of stuff you say after you have reflected and the hurt of a loss goes away, not at a post game podium.

Exactly. He's already over it. THAT bothers me. I'll be sulking for weeks and he's like "It is what it is". ***!!!

Well I am a very big Cowboys fan and I will always be a Cowboys fan. I also feel really sick because the Eagles beat the Cowboys 44 to 6. It's a sick feeling to not make the playoffs. But still it's just a game. So I have no problem with what Romo said.

I do care about the Cowboys winning and I hate the fact that the Cowboys missed the playoffs. But this is not the worst thing that can happen. As long as I have good health and live a happy life I will be fine.

This is not the coach's mentality. I've heard Romo say this very patent answer a zillion times before: beginning with the bobble episode in Seattle.

Romo needs to figure out if he's MAN enough to QB the Dallas Cowboys. He's proven he can clearly shrug off a loss, as he continues to win games in September so that he can really show his *** in December.

Up til Today I've been a Tony fan that believed he could be a great one. Now more than ever, he better start taking responsibilty for this team's future. Period.

It would be nice if people who are going to quote him would put the whole PC in there in order to get the whole context of what is being said. I noticed while listening to it earlier that it totally changes the context from what someone posted in a thread earlier tonight and this one makes it seem like Romo doesn't care if they win or lose.

But then again with the way ESPN decides to report stories I guess you can't expect anything more from fans either.

''I wake up tomorrow and I keep living,'' Romo said when asked how he deals with tough defeats.

No he'd have said "I'll go home, get drunk, take a bunch of pills, and try to kill myself over this loss."

Geez some of this is crazy. What is the guy supposed to say that would make it sound better after this tough loss?

What do you want him to say?

"I'm planning to go home and attempt suicide."? Would that make you feel better?

How can you know anything about what Tony Romo does or does not take responsibility for by what he says at a press conference?

I think what the OP is looking for is a quote like "i'm going to work hard this offseason to get back to the level that i know i can play." or something along those lines.

Exactly. You want him to stop off at Lowes for some razor blades on his way home?

Because it fits agendas either way. If you want to think he doesn't care about winning and losing and that it doesn't bother him then you can make the PC's go for you that way.

I'm sure every other QB who struggled during their careers absolutely loved losing and didn't care either.

No, but I expect him to not say crap like that. That's LOSER talk.

Things like this shouldn't need to be said. They should be expected and fans shouldn't have to hear them all the time. It's like people who need a friggen pat on the back everytime they do something right, or need someone to tell them they did something right.

Aikman wouldn't have talked to the media. He actually cared about winning and about his teammates-he wasn't headed to karaoke w/ his Hollywood girlfriend looking for sympathetic pats on the back and people making sure he was ok after his locker room "collapse."

I've been pretty critical of the whole works lately, but this is going overboard imo. I'd rather he have a healthy attitude that tomorrow is another day than losing faith in himself. We didn't get it done this time, all he can do is pack his lunch pail and go back to work and try again. The Mannings both said the same things before they won. Just keep plugging away and keep in mind the sun will come up tomorrow.
