A no-name trying to make the roster is not going to come in and take #9...come on. It's not like it's a common number

I watched Vinny Testerverde at age 40 something come in during the middle of the week and win a game so I'm sure if Tony had to he could probably come in at any time and play at a fairly high level.

Yeah but nobody can squat like Vinny. Nobody. He has buildings for legs.

I heard he threw a football through 4 barns, using only the power of his legs.

im a huge romo fan but if dak gets hurt tony isnt coming back. his cbs deal might not let him. even if did, he wouldve been "out" of football basically 2 years and hasnt seen game action. i wouldnt expect him to play very well at all and lets not forget they are adjusting the offense for dak. it would be new for tony. its all just a pipe dream to think he would come back and lead them to the playoffs at this point.

I would tend to agree with you until Jerry said a few weeks ago that Tony is "not retired" when asked about a retirement ceremony.

I don't think it is. At all.
I do .Considering Romo hasn't retired yet. He's fully healthy now and knows the playbook as well as anyone.
Romo could step in in a very short notice and not miss a beat.

I'm not saying he can't. I just think he's moved on permanently. Whether Jerry likes it or not.

And Dak will be fine.

Jerry would welcome Romo with open arms in an emergency situation. That permanently goes away if that phone call is made.Dak is tough as a wrecking ball and I don't think he will get hurt. But this is football. Everyone gets hurt eventually.

Keep in mind I am only speaking of this if it were to happen this season. Not at anytime beyond that.

My point wasn't about Jerry. My point was that even if Jerry called, I think Tony is done. Just listen to the interview he did with Nance the other day.

News update

The Janitor has found the locker door keys and has now locked the locker door.

"I just put the keys down over there (points) and the next time I came to get them they were gone, but I found them, amazing !" *

*as per interview with locker-news channel reporter Miss Pat E.O. Door-key.

/sarcasm over
