This is in order of who I would want to be my team's quarterback if I could choose.

1. Brady
2. Palmer
3. Manning
4. Hasselbeck
5. Vick
6. Roethlisberger
7. Brees
8. McNabb
9. Culpepper
10. Bledsoe

I can't believe there's no mention of Vick. I know everyone loves to hate him because he's barely an average passer, but he changes the game like no other player in the NFL.

5.) Peyton Manning
6.) Donavan McNabb
7.) Matt Hasslebach
8.) Carson Palmer
9.) Trent Green
10.) Drew Brees
~The Answer

Mine
1) Brady, simply put, dude is money and proven when it counts most
2) Payton WoManning, I hate him more than most but I'll admit he's dang good
3) Carson Palmer, This guy is the next truly great QB if he fully recovers he was unstoppable last year
4) Jake Delhomme, gets it done, more with grit than talent but done
5) Hasslebach, savy, moxie, gritty, I'd love a guy like this on our team
6) Drew Brees, at least was....but not sure he'll be the same again
7) Drew Bledsoe, the reason he's this low IMO is that he can't carry the team like the QBs above, he needs an OL and a running game, but deadly with them
8) McNubb, arguable IMO between DB and Mcnubb but I think Mcnubb's play is declining and he's MUCH less of a threat to run until he loses some weight
9) Trent Green, very similar to DB IMO, very very good but not quite elite
10) Rothlisberger, gets it done but I don't think he would thrive in a pass first offense and I don't think he could carry the team if he had to

Heres a mans list.

1. Tom Brady
2. Ben Roethlisberger
3. Peyton Manning
4. Carson Palmer
5. Trent Green
6. Drew Brees
7. Daunte Culpepper
8. Matt Hasselbeck
9. Drew Bledsoe
10. Donovan McNabb

Just dont see how Delhomme is a top 5 QB or top 10 qb for that matter. I base my top 10 off of potential, NFL success, and arm.

The real Daunte Culpepper finally surfaces and a bunch of you put him in the top 7? No Moss, DC is terrible.

The Answer's top 10 QB's playing right now:

1.) Tom Brady - 3 world titles in first 5 seasons speaks for itself, has a great defense and coach but can't argue what he brings to the table.
2.) Drew Bledsoe - 14 year veteran can still sling it with the best of them, puts up great numbers with lesser talent but finally appears to have the missing link: TO
3.) Ben Rothlisberger - 15-1 as a rookie, outstanding performance in 3 straight road playoff games and a world title in his 2nd year.
4.) Jake Delhomme - The cajun sensation seems to be getting better each year, plays great in the big games.
5.) Peyton Manning - Can't ignore the numbers, but despite having phenomenal talent around him he still comes up short when it matters most.
6.) Donavan McNabb - Won a lot of games before TO, with TO and likely will after TO.
7.) Matt Hasslebach - From Brett Favre's understudy to a rock solid all around QB and a superbowl birth, can he do it again?
8.) Carson Palmer - Finally arrived in his 3rd season and has a very bright future if he can fully recover from a devestating injury.
9.) Trent Green - late bloomer has had a great running game to compliment his passing yards.
10.) Drew Brees - Going to make a lot of noise in NO with reggie bush if he is healthy. Chargers made a foolish mistake letting him walk.

Honorable mentions: Dante Culpepper, Brett Favre, Jake Plummer, Mark Bulger and Kurt Warner.

Please provide you top 10 QB rankings and base it on their PRESENT accomplishments, the team/talent around them, and proven ability, not future potential or past successes.

Thanks

I'm stunned at the sheer "homerism" of this post... just stunned.

1. Tom Brady - 4 rings is what makes montanna the best ever and Brady has 3, which is more than manning and palmer.
2. Peyton Manning - he beat marinos record and that alone makes him the 2nd best.
3. Carson Palmer - he has chad johnson, but who on here doesnt have another great threat in their offense? the guy is solid and will be even better this year.
4. Matt HasselBeck - S. Alexander gets to much credit, hasselbeck had a great season and will keep performing especially with burleson on the team.
5. Byron Leftwich - the guy is a monster, my favorite QB in the NFL along with Palmer, the guy can sling the ball out there and came into his own quickly.
6. Jake Delhomme - hes solid, yes he has steve smith but like i said before, everyone has a weapon . . .
7. Donovan McFlabb - before TO went to philly i would have not had mcnabb on my top10, but TO turned him into a pocket presence QB and now he is a threat on the run and in the pocket.
8. Drew Brees - he was doing great last season, lets see how he is after his surgery.
9. Trent Green - he does it like bledsoe - he doesnt have any #1 WRs but a whole bunch of great #2s.
10. Drew Bledsoe - we all know about him.

roethlisburger doesnt impress me, he does it in a run-heavy offense throwing just 20 passes a game, i dont have much respect for the guy. and now everyone is gonna come at me with the "he has a ring" forget the stupid ring, yea its something most of the other guys on the list dont have but randle el threw better in that sb than rothlisburger, not a top10 QB. id say top15 maybe. brunell is better and i can name a few more.

I disagree. I definitely think he is top 15, maybe even 10th. Anywhere below that would be pretty hard for me to swallow.

So discounting all those QBs because you dont think they played well enough in the playoffs, actually helps prop up Bledsoe who has not played well enough to even make the playoffs?

On the nosey.

I guess crack still is the cheap drug of choice...cumon man I love Bledsoe but #2 in the league? He wasn't even the highest ratest passer in our conference....love the optimism though......and when did someone annoit Flozell with Anthony Munoz status???? You are speaking as if he is a certain HOFer...many teams are successful with injuries to one or several starters...this is way to early to hold a season's fortune on FLozell alone.....it is more on the coaching on how you work with backup and depth and schemes to hide weaknesses.

I'm not trying to be a homer, but you can't ignore the fact that Bledsoe was the leading the NFL in passing before the Flozell injury. The wily veteran was also an MVP candidate....led us to 5 come from behind wins!

With a healthy oline (hopefully) and new weapons like TO and Fasano to play with The Answer believes that Bledsoe is going to have what you call a 'monster' season.

No way Bledsoe belongs any lower than the top 5....

~The Answer

MVP candidate?! ***?

Top 15, in my opinion:

1. Tom Brady
2. Carson Palmer
3. Peyton Manning
4. Ben Roethlisberger
5. Matt Hasselbeck
6. Drew Brees
7. Donovan McNabb
8. Jake Delhomme
9. Trent Green
10. Jake Plummer
11. Byron Leftwich
12. Marc Bulger
13. Mark Brunell
14. Drew Bledsoe
15. Kurt Warner

I think you could argue that he has had two good years. It is a very relative thing, good year, bad year.

His first year, he didn't take a snap. His second year, the first season starting, he completed just under 61% of his passes, 2897 yards, 18 INTs and 18 TDs. 77.3 QB rating, which is exactly what Bledsoe's career QB rating is incidently.

It is my opinion that Carson is already a top 3 QB in the NFL, behind Brady and Manning.

Palmer should be listed ahead of Roethlisberger. The fact that he's won the Super Bowl means nothing when he had a 22.1 passer rating in said game. Were it not for the horsesh-- officiating he would be a Super Bowl loser. By the same token Hasselbeck needs to move higher up the list because he actually played well in the Super Bowl and has consistently gotten better for the last couple of years.

Bledsoe cant carry a team but Brees and Hasselbeck can? Wonder what would happen if Bledsoe had a RB as good as LT or Alexander? Who is carrying who again?
