I couldn't care less about what you think.
Then why did you bother to respond to him? Did you think by telling him that it would ruin his day?

When one usually states "I could care less", they usually mean "I could not care less". [e.g. "I could care less about linguistics."]

In order for one to "care less" about a subject, they must first care about it somewhat. Saying "I could care less about ... " does indeed imply, nay dictate, that there is some degree of care.

I've put together a handy chart to help visualize...
The Caring Continuum. vertical chart shows amount of caring - 'zero' and 'couldn't care less' synonymous at the bottom

It can easily be seen that, in absolute terms, there is no caring at the zero marker. It is impossible to care less than that amount.

Let us use a different example...

1. I could have less food.
2. I couldn't have less food.

Which statement above means "I have at least some food", and which means "I don't have any food"?

Just to let him know.

It could have.

MY top 5
1.....DONAVAN MCSCARED-- mommas boy overated punk, the worse leader in the nfl. andy reid babies him by taking the blame every week for a qb thats being paid over 100 million dollars and he doesn't choke in big games, he coughs up.

He coughs up vomit, and the football in every big game of his career(dont beleve me check every nfc championship and the superbowl that T.O gave them and outplayed him in) eagles fans i dare you to challenge me on that bring up the stats if im wrong if he had one good game I'll eat crow.

2.....TIM HAUCK-- very dirty hitter who had no talent just gave late hits, who also ended irvin's career hitting him late in the back of the spine. IMO this started the dimise of our big 3.

3A....EAGLES FANS........not a player but i hate the eagles and you cant make a hate list without eagles fans...thats like kool aid with no sugar-ham with no burger.... if you seen friday you get the point lol

3B..JAKE PLUMMER.... i know you guys are scratching your head but he has been so overated in his career and i still cant forget that nightmare when his cardinals beat the cowboys in texas stadium in the PLAYOFFS!

4.....DEION SANDERS( the 49er!!)....People he was the difference maker in why we didnt make history with a 4peat. The 49ers won the bowl with him and he helped neutralize irvin, and then we signed him and he helped us neutralize everyone else to win the bowl the next year.

5... RANDY MOSS-- guys I know he has had trouble with the franchises he's played for but had he been a cowboy like his life long dream we probably never would have went through our decline that we went through because, aikman would have had randy moss to through to we never would have sent 2 first rounders to seattle for Galloway, and just imagine what could've been if we took alexander with that pick and had randy moss oh my god!!

But I really hate him because all he has done in his career was torture the cowboys, and guys he's undefeated against the cowboys. Even with OAKLAND.

I can't hate a player in the NFL. You have to be an elite athlete to even make to the NFL.

Looks to me that the only thing Cooley does any better is catch TD's. .

uh, isn't scoring touchdowns what offense is all about?

Cooley isn't as good as Witten IMO, I don't want to see stats because when Bledsoe was in Witten wasn't being used at all so that's like 6 games where he was almost a non factor in the offense because bledsoe needed protection. Also like I've said before the Commanders are really good at making a players stats look good, may I mention Brunell has the completion record for a game?

uh, and you dont think the same went for cooley and brunell?

dude you got some issues if that guy bugs you. I can't think of a single reason to dislike that kid, he is the best pure running back in the league and you never hear crap about him. you got something else going on with your head if you don't like that guy.

same here...I like that guy because he is one of the few physical PURE RB, I hate the Reggie Bush and Westbrook type of RB, they are not physical at all, they get hit and they bounce back 2 yards. This guy reminds of past running back who will at you and not try to avoid your tackel, he wants to duke it out with you and see who will win.

My most hated players...hmmm

1. McNabbb...I just can't stand him
2. Sean Taylor...a criminal who thinks he is great when he is OK
3. Ben Roethlisberger...what a worthless POS, he only won the SB beause of team he was with...he can't play football

What a typical Commanders fan, did you read what he wrote...he did said IMO...That is what he thinks because he is a cowboys fan, and I am sure if go to a Commanders forum, all the guys will be saying that Cooley is better than Witten.

The truth is they are different, Witten is more of a TE than Cooley who is playing more of a TE now but not before when he was blocking for Portis.

IMO, witten is much better than Cooley.

Little
Ray Lewis
Jammal Lewis
Haynesworth
Taylor
Vick
The NFL ownership

But, I don't "hate" them. They aren't worthy of that. They disgust and irritate me. Like children running wild in a restraunt or grocery store; undiciplined, disrespectful, self-centered, obnoxious, and sometimes criminal, little children. I put the NFL ownership on this list simply because they allow these type of children and criminals to be displayed as heroes to young impressionable athletes.
Charles Barkley said that he shouldn't be looked at as a role model because that is the parents job. He was partially right, it is a parent's job, but many young kids live is single-parent families and look elsewhere for role models. Pro athletes may not like it, but they win the job by default. By allowing these players to act the way they do, the NFL condones and thus perpetuates that type of conduct.

Of course it was his opinion. If people wern't able to contest other peoples opinions, then there would be no point for this board.

Tiki
Plaxico
Shawn Alexsofter
Daunte Culpooper
McFlabb
Strahan
Ray Lewis
The Broncos OL

you don't CORRECT other's opinions, correcting means this

-the other person's opinion was wrong
-your opinoin is right
-you are replacing the wrong one with the right one and that is absolutly not true.

Opinions are opinions (sounding like Iverson and paractice), ther is no right or wrong ones. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, you have the right to think my opinion is wrong but don't correct it for me. I like my opinion thank you very much. LOL

Cowboys fans will always think that Witten is better than Cooley, simply because he is a Cowboy.
