"In those four games, he racked up 27 tackles. He was soon dubbed "The Hulk", due to his reckless and punishing hits on opposing players which prevented many of the big plays that the opposing teams might have otherwise made happen. The Colts had the worst rushing defense in the NFL statistically, allowing at least 100 yards rushing in every game. During the playoffs, however, Sanders continued his comeback from injury, and breathed new life into the defense. The 2006 Colts in the playoffs, with Sanders, had the second best run defense with only 73.3 rushing yards allowed per game. Sanders went on to help the Colts, on the road, to their victory in Super Bowl XLI. Sanders made a pivotal play in the AFC title game against the Patriots. With the Patriots looking to clinch the game with a first down with under three minutes to play and holding a 34-31 lead, Sanders dove in front of Troy Brown and deflected the pass, forcing the Patriots to punt and giving Peyton Manning the chance to drive for the game winning touchdown. Sanders made a couple key plays in the game against the Chicago Bears, forcing a fumble from running back Cedric Benson early in the game and intercepting quarterback Rex Grossman early in the 4th quarter after cornerback Kelvin Hayden intercepted Grossman on the previous drive with both picks helping seal the 29-17 win."

Just a quick little wikipedia search..Ya he sure is trash and never makes an impact.. They don't win that SB without him.
I know of only 3 people who think Bob Sanders is overrated and they are all on this board..

You could tack me on that list. I have about 5 personal buds who would all agree, too. I also have quite a few who would disagree.

lol I was just thinking of doing that..I don't think he's some Alpha Male, I just don't he's overrated. That's drastic..the guy is one of the best SS in the game..And Dblair blabbed about how he never makes plays or impacts a game which is an unbelievable statement..

how can you argue that when the numbers show beyond a doubt that its true...he doesnt make plays..its not "babbling" when his career numbers are so lousy...he isnt a playmaker, never has been and never will be

I've only read the first page of the thread thus far so I bet someone addressed this later - but no Albert Haynesworth? The difference in the Titans defense with and without him was enormous. I just hope switching to the Commanders has sapped his Mojo next year.

Are you kidding me on the Asingwah,Walt Harris and Antonio Cromartie comments?? You have to be joking right?

However you spell his name the corner from Oakland is head and shoulders the best in the game. Anytime you hold Andre Johnson, who at the time was averaging 7-9 catches a game, to 2 catches for like 17 yards that tells you something. Last season the only player that caught a significant amount of passes on him was Tony Gonzalez and most of them he had excellent coverage but Gonzo just boxed him out.

Walt Harris goes under the radar. 07 pro bowler and I believe he was an alternate last season. When TO was killing SF this year it was on Clements not Harris. Hes one of those guys thats quiet and gets lost in SF.

Cromatire was horrible under Cottrell because he played db's 10 yards off the ball. When Rivera took over he played aggresive man coverage and besides falling asleep in the Indy game he exceled under the new DCoordinater. They didnt go from 4-8 to the second round of the playoffs for no reason.
