Remember how we passed up on Shaun Rogers twice in the 2nd round in 2002 -- so we could take Q and Tony Dixon. That was great!

I swear after the Dixon pick I thought my head was going to explode.
how dare you bring that up... stupid jerry and his horrible drafting. thank god that time period is over and will hopefully never be back.

actually I remember Jerry saying the day before the draft that he wouldn't take Rogers because he "couldn't afford to redshirt a draft pick on the d-line" -- ironically, he ended up with Blade and Stewart who both redshirted that year

That sounds like the best idea since trading two first round picks for galloway, oh and the list of high first round draft picks that accomplished a lot in the NCAA and then never did ANYTHING in the NFL is extensive. Lets see Ryan Leaf, Eric Crouch, Kijana Carter, Tim Couch, Andre Ware, David Klingler, Akili Smith, Cade McNown, Curtis Enis, Heath Shuler, Brian Bosworth, Blair Thomas, and Tony Mandarich. Now I wonder how many people wanted to trade for any of them, and only Mandarich and Bosworth had substance abuse issues and they were both roids.

I wish that you were in my fantasy football league so I could make a couple of trades with you HanfordDixon

are you Charles Rogers mother or something?

the guy hasnt shown a shred of evidence to date that he "could be a superstar WR"

None other than Bill Belichek wanted to trade twi 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder for this kid coming out of college.

But I guess you know more than Bellichek.

You should be coaching in the league, brainiac.

I highly doubt Belicheck, a known conservative on personnel moves, would pay that much. If he did want to pay that much he was off his rocker. And not because Rogers has turned out to be a flop.

I like Rogers a lot, but his next violation puts him out for a whole year I think.

Too many guys who hit the 4-game suspension often either progress to the 1-year suspension, or else the drugs become more important and they just retire.

He was a hell of a player coming out of college, and he was playing well before he broke his collarbone twice !!!

The good news is that they put in a titanium rod (I believe) to protect his collarbone. His injuries haven't been the type that can make you lose speed or skills (like a blown knee or achilles).

I'd love to get the guy. Just not sure how much I'd be willing to give up to take that risk.
