Dude we just brought up rashawn Evans... We pretty much got that covered now and with guys coming back off injury and stuff for next year as well as lets let clkark develop and Jefferson gets some time..

TE- NO; progress stopper that's all I got to say... These guys will develop they are good enough they will eventually the light will turn on... Show me Dalton Schultz 's first two years and I'll show you the same types of progress in furgeson.....

So that leaves running back and I agree maybe we do need a veteran presence with a little bit of power... We are going into the buy pretty healthy and I believe with Evans coming up in a bye week to reset we will be fine rolling with ur group plus the PS guys,.

I don't know how many times I've got to say this but this year started out crazy with situational football with all the giant leads four games on the road some of the injuries in the weird circumstances it created a lot of weird situational football especially with this new offense it needs some time... So the tight ends will get better after we get to see the 17 games so that way the sample size is in full effect
Think a veteran presence is needed at the TE position. They still will have plenty of snaps to get the prospects involved. We have seen a lot of 3 TE sets this season.

Hey we disagree man I'm saying that the season has not been normal nothing has been normal with the new offense it needs some time to grow.. The answer is really not a veteran but hey if the Cowboys decide it is it is but I'm speaking as fan to fan I disagree with you... Biggest problem with this offense it's pretty obvious that it starts up front with the offensive line and then the play calling and then the run game... So for me TE doesn't even come in to in question for a while in this discussion..

IMO the most glaring needs for this team right now are RB and LB.

But just acquiring a couple of players to improve our talent base in and of itself is not enough. This team needs some major improvement of its offense through blocking schemes, receiving routes and overall execution. This offensive scheme looks as stale as month old bread.

You can have all pro talent at every position but if it’s in a lousy scheme it makes it doubly hard to execute well.

-Corners are in high demand, many teams don't have enough. Johnson is a resign candidate, depending on price. Team is going to need another starting corner next season with both Gilmore/Lewis becoming fa's. Team is one injury away from disaster at the position.

-Believe adding a RB might be the team's biggest need at the moment. Run game is terrible, Pollard already looks beat up and they are struggling in short yardage situations. Foreman cost would be a late day 3 pick, which is worth it.

-With the emergence of Bell and the addition of Evans, the need to lessoned. Jewell is a proven run defender, but might be more of a luxury.

-Do believe Ertz helps the TE group more then he stops their development. He can actually speed up their development learning from such a player.
I agree the Cowboys will be adding a high end starter type CB this offseason. You said depending on price with Johnson, I just think he'll price out, and Dallas would have one less draft pick.

I wanted Foreman, as a cheap veteran RB2, this past offseason...would bring some toughness and an attitude at RB.

Just remember we are 1 injury away from disaster, with one corner being 34 years old.
Johnson is always hurt, so this concern doesn't make much sense.

Jewell is the only guy on that list who would be make a contribution worth what you'd give up.

Gilmore at this point in his career and Johnson are probably a wash. Johnson has been a solid #1 in Chicago and would be a very good #2 here, or excellent #3
If Johnson is good for Chicago why would they trade him? Not going to lie, I have watched Chicago sparingly this season and nothing stood out to me as being good or I would trade for one of their players.

That’s a fair point. However, I would trade a pick to get Davante Adams for a 1 year rental though.

It would have to be for an impact player that would immediately help our anemic offense
I approve this message!!!! He isn't happy with the Raiders but he is an instant threat on the outside to stretch the field because Gallup just isn't getting any separation at all!! I have no confidence in MG after that Achilles injury.

Believe added a running back is atop of the list and it doesn't have to be Henry.

Only problem I see with a Davonte Adams move would be that they would want a first and a second round pick in the same way they got a first and a second for Cooper and we have other needs such as O-line help, our line has been concerning to me. RB as well.. Hell I don't know anymore!!lol

Agree, TE isn't the top need as they have to figure out OL/Run game and this terrible scheme.

Maybe Courtland Sutton out of Denver, he is a big body at 6ft 4in and played college ball for SMU, he is also a Texas boy and would probably be up cheaper then Devonte Adams? He isn't happy in Denver, and would he a huge red zone target. Michael Irvin likes him and they were discussing it yesterday on Undisputed.

The first 2 positions you listed the Cowboys have Diggs and Overshown coming back next year. So you want to spend a draft pick for a one year rental? And they just spend a 2nd on a TE 6 months ago.
Overshown is hardly so good that we can consider the position locked down. He was an ok college player projected to the nfl based on his measurables. If we hadn’t taken him in round 3, he could have easily slipped to round 4.

This is the kind of thinking that needs to go on in Dallas. We could have had DJ Moore last year for a second rounder before the trade deadline. Instead , we have schoon. We need to be looking at bad teams and seeing if they have a player who we can plug and play to help this team across the finish line. It’s either that or need to be sellers bc rolling with what we got isn’t going to get us far in January.

Three positions the Cowboys should be targeting, in no particular order:

CB, LB, RB, TE

Jaylon Johnson CB Chicago-l believe last yr of his deal, is he a core player or will they deal him? Cost probably would be a day 2 pick.

D'Onta Foreman RB Chicago-a power back that will be much cheaper then acquiring Derrick Henry.

Josey Jewel LB Denver-has always been a real good 2 down linebacker that excels at stopping the run.

Zach Ertz TE Arizona-definitely has lost a step, but would help our red zone offense and bring veteran leadership to our young positional group.
I like em all. Who do we call to make this happen?
