He is one of the best players on the team and one that is willing to do anything to help the team. He is not a diva and not a pouty WR. I wish every Cowboys player played as hard and gave the effort CeeDee does. Why would the Cowboys "have no choice but to dump him"???

Looks like you don't understand why the Cowboys traded Cooper either.
You clearly meant this for me!!!!! I'm not sure how much of this is him trying to be a good teammate, we've seen the Ceedee several weeks ago snapping out and making comments to Dak. He's been doing better with not lashing out, but keep it in the back of your mind that WR's are divas

In spite of his contract which is fair market value for a WR of his caliber, this is the time of year a contender in need of a WR might bite. CD is not happy and that's likely not going to change given the mess on offense and the front offices unwillingness to make moves. He could be an Irvin-like leader but its more selfish pouty than 'leader demanding more from those around him' pouty. You have to watch him on the sidelines to appreciate the problem. Why not try to trade him for picks before we have no choice but to dump him like Amari Cooper?
Nope, I'm building around him. Now Parsons and Diggs yes. Parsons because the wear and tear will catch up to him and Diggs is overrated and they have Bland. What would Quinn give up in Washington? 2nd round to get Diggs?
Any middling team I would look at trading Parsons for two first.

The contract we signed him to was stupid given the state of the team. I guess you learned nothing from the Matt Millen era in Detroit.

I bet you were against the Hershel Walker trade bc he was "one of our best players!"
I knew several people who were.

It was a dumb signing. Should have traded him at the end of the season.
Without him him our receivers are average. You can’t just move on from all your best players and expect to build a great team. You have to have some cornerstones.

We can't keep eating dead cap space. He should have been traded last year before the draft in a very deep WR draft class.

We are in a rebuild. We should be, in any case. We need draft picks not the 2nd highest paid WR in NFL history.
We should have rebuilt after last season. It would have been much easier. Micah would have had more rookie years if you traded him. Lamb would have brought more because the team he went to would have been able to sign him. Bland would have brought good picks. Dak cobtract would be out there. And our record would only be 2 less wins

You trade him for draft picks. We need draft picks. That's the only way to rebuild b/c of Daks contract and the one we are about to give Parsons. Trading CD will also free up cap space b/c his new team inherits the contract.
But not the bonus and guaranteed money that accelerates to your cap this year

How can you watch this team then call out people for their good leadership skills? His lack of leadership skills is what is killing the team. No one is holding any one else accountable. He is the second highest paid player the team. Like it or not he wears this.
I see a guy that's letting his play do the talking. I see a guy showing some humility after being called out by a legend. A guy that's fighting through injury, trying to win. A guy that's pissed off on the sideline, while his QB and others laughing and chopping it up. Ya, I do see some leadership qualities from Lamb that other highly paid players aren't showing. Anymore, it feels like Lamb and Lewis are the only ones that care. Those are the type of players you build around. If you don't see it, look a little harder, because it's there.

I'm not trading him bc I think he sucks. I'm trading him b/c he is great and one of the few players who could bring a cache of draft picks.

Why not? He's not doing us any good. We are 3-5 with a healthy CD.
Trade a player create a hole to get draft picks for a player that might work out. Make sense

At this point it doesn't make any sense to pay 10's of millions of dollars for players on a team this lousy! I say dump everyone, get young and lighten the load on the team's CAP SPACE. Since Prescott isn't going anywhere for at least two more years, on a team that is headed south in a big way, start trading the expense help. Start with these players CeeDee, D-Law, Diggs, Parsons, Martin ............... We're stuck with Prescott, who isn't worth the money he's being paid, but that's JJ fault and he has to live with that.

I see everything you just said but IMHO they are not signs of leadership. Maybe CD prepares hard good for him. Maybe he is studying film good for him. He gives it everything he has on Sunday good for him. The rest of the team is not.

Players miss meetings. Players skip practices. Players do not know their assignments. Players do not play hard. Players are happy to sit out. The signs that this team lack leadership are literally everywhere.

If CD was a good leader these things would not be happening. They are literally happening because he is not a good leader. Go ahead and blame the coaches if you want I am fine with that but do not give me the CD is such a great leader nonsense. The team is literally falling apart due to a lack of real leadership.
