A post June 1st trade would save over 34M on the 2024 cap.

There are GMs & Head Coaches that would give up significant draft capital for Dak.
- They're #1 goal is to keep their job longer and 12 win seasons will do that for teams that have not had winning seasons recently.
- Many GMs/HCs might be fired before they can draft and develop a 12 win QB.

Trey Lance has excellent physical talent. Almost all top QBs picked top 10 get more opportunities than he did in SF.
- GB's QB looked like a Deer in the Headlights when he started a game as a rookie.

I've studied all of the games that Trey Lance has played in the NFL including 4 starts and preseason games.
- His primary problem is over-confidence in his ability to fit the ball into tight windows.
- Reminds me of when Farve was in Atlanta.

In this era of power running QBs like Hurts and Josh Allen, Lance has a similar running style.
- Obviously not quite Josh Allen but I think he can do anything that Hurts can do as a runner.
- I've seen him flatten NFL Safeties and power thru a couple of well know LBs.

Lance always looked confiident.
PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

As a Dak Stan, I think something is cooking behind the scenes. Nobody on the team is defending Dak. He has been quiet. The front office is not saying a thing. There is no way the Cowboys can extend Dak with all this negativity. France won’t take a hometown discount in negotiations. CeeDee and Parsons want their extensions this offseason. It’s going to be a circus and the Joneses will benefit from the drama as usual.

Maybe that's why none of the cowboys players are sticking up for him right now. Only way he waves that no trade clause is if he feels this team no longer wants him here.
I still think he would be willing to go to The Raiders or Pats. It would have to be a team with marketability.
Obviously, if they benched Dak, he would welcome a trade...

McCarthy is out without a Super Bowl apppearance for the 2024 season because his contract is up.
- Replacing Dak with Trey Lance would give him a chance to stay even without a SB appearance.
- IFFFFF McCarthy could develop Lance into a legit NFL QB.

Remember, Lance was a Jerry move.
- Stephen & McClay make almost all football decisions for the Cowboys in recent years, but trading for Lance was a Jerry move.
- i.e. Jerry would be in favor of Lance surpassing Dak.

The biggest problem with Lance is durability. He’s been hurt several times playing that way.

Who are you going to replace him with!! That's the question they love to ask lol
Oddly enough every other franchise finds a way to draft and start QB's. But Dallas fans think that somehow life without Dak is going to be devoid of all this winning. Not really sure what we were winning with him since we certainly haven't had that much success with him.

Dak will waive it if hes not wanted here and the situation is right for him

He would be stupid to stay here and be the loser that he is. He would be worshipped somewhere like Chicago
i'm not sure i would if i were him. walking into what you hope will be another pay day, your last, why would you want to learn a new system and have new players you aren't familiar with? i'd call their bluff to cut me. i lose nothing in that case and can negotiate a new contract at that point.

Oh I totally agree!! I'm not sure why this team has such anxiety with signing players and letting them go it's extremely weird!!

This lazy FO would never trade him. He, like McCarthy, is comfortable to them. To change the status quo requires effort. Not happening here. It's vacation time for the next 6 months.

One, you'd have to find a team Dak would even want to be traded too. That limits the pool of teams.

Two, waiting until after June 1 doesn't make a whole lot of sense. One, if the Cowboys are trading Dak for picks, they are going to want some in this coming draft so they are going to want to get this done before the draft. Two, teams largely have built out their teams by June, so there is not going to be many teams out there that are going to want to trade for Dak UNLESS someone gets hurt in August. Teams that might have had interest in Dak may have already invested in a QB in the draft. So the pool of teams even interested in acquiring Dak post June 1 is going to very, very, very small.

One scenario I could see play out, which is still unlikely, is Lance seems to impress in August camp, another team gets an injury and are desperate for Dak. Eagles did that a few years ago with Sam Bradford and Carson Wentz.

This will offend many people who think Dak is cut-worthy because "no one could possibly want him".

As I have been saying, you would get a haul similar to what we have seen other QBs traded for in recent years.

The ONLY reason I would support moving on from Dak is if we get significant compensation and bc I like the potential that Lance represents.

IF you could trade him..kinda big if but he may want out of this circus for sure... you would be wise to wipe the rest of the core because they all have ran their course here...again there is 0 or Zero or notta or zelch or however you want to say it, chance this GM does this... he wont do it...he should at least the "Loser" threads could have diferent names for a couple years...but he wont..meh sit your arss down and watch Cowboys reruns i saved you a spot....

you would get a haul for Dak and i believe he may be open to leaving as he looked much diferent after this last loss...but you need to move all of the core because they are all in the "28 year" quicksand and you can see it on their faces...
