OK well who are these dime a dozen guys that Dallas should pursuit? I'd be more than happy to take note of a couple guys you name and see if they are better than Ferg/Schoon next season.

In 2024 you have had 17 TEs from that draft class and only 1 has more than 30 catches and that was the top TE in the draft Brock Bowers. Only 5 have 20 or more catches.

I'm more than happy to be proven wrong here as I would love to see the Cowboys upgrade, but again I simply dont think you understand what you're talking about.
that's pretty eye opening. thanks for the perspective.

Ferguson is a bust. no TD's this year, how many penalties did he have? How many times tackled for no gain on screens?

He's terrible, time to get a good TE to help in the red zone
I love the premise of this thread:

We have a player who sucks, is a bust, isn't a red zone threat, and nobody here (including the OP) wants him on the team.. SO, let's just get some team to ship draft picks to us for him.

While we're at it, why not send the garbage we swept up after yesterday's game to some team for more draft picks?

I sure am glad other teams have to give us picks whenever we tell them to. LOL

Then when the replacement is worse, they say "why would the idiot GM get rid of Ferguson?"

Ferguson is a fine #2 TE (unless your base offense is 2-TE set)

The problem is you don't use a 4th rd pick on a #2 caliber TE like Ferg. You use a 6th or 7th for a #2 caliber TE.

That said, the #1 thought i have is id rather use a 4th in a #2, then a 2nd on a #3 like Scrubmaker, or a #1 on a #4 like Lazi Smith

Ferguson did regress, especially with penalties. No out on him just yet, given what is the TE group.

He's a fine player, but one you should definitely be looking to upgrade over.

I think he is more suited to being your second tight end on a good team.

Agree with everyone here regarding moving on from him. What the heck happened? Last year a beast, this year very disappointing. Thoughts on why?
