I said it previously and i'll say it again. You may hate what they have at running back. But the Cowboys like what they have at running back. Because if they didn't they would've been addressed. They had plenty of chances in the draft to do it and plenty of chances in free agency. And it never happened. Maybe, just maybe they like their situation? Now should they? I have no idea but they've earned the right these past few seasons to trust their judgement on personnel.

Questions wont be awnsered until week 1. On hand they have said they are good with what they. In the other they have said they are going to keep exploring opportunities at the position. What do they mean? Who knows. We'll find out soon enough though

Bryce Brown fumbles too much, Jarrod Hayne is a gimmick he looks good now in preseason and the commentators are talking him up adding shine to him, but trust me if he makes a team when the real season starts the shine will quickly disappear and everyone will see that it was fools gold.
I do not see the pats trading Gray, Yes if we can get Michaels from the hawks get him

I hate what we have right now, but I am not naïve enough to realize we made this bed and now have to lay in it.

There is no magical trade we can make.

I still dream about some team getting rid of a starting quality back, but it just isn't going to happen. That is not how teams function.

Pretty much. Everyone was naive to think the online made Murray. People don't understand it was a mutal relationship.

Priest Holmes took a full four years to blossom in the same offensive system in KC.

Small knit-picky correction -- Priest Holmes spent his first 4 years in Baltimore and was fairly non-descript.

The moment he started playing in KC, he played 3 HOF-calibre years until his 4th year there when he ran into the injury bug.

I'm not trying to be critical, however, I admired Holmes greatly during his prime years.

Not again.....and we do not have a 6th round pick, he is playing TE. At least he looks decent so far.
There are no RBs out there worth a draft pick right now, just wait until cut down time. But still give our own guys a chance.

This is worse than last years defense will suck and be worse posts the entire off season.

Dallas has 3 or 4 comp picks coming next year that can't be traded. They are already a very young team so they can spare a pick or two.

I feel like they are purposely wanting to make fans worry, to justify signing rice.

If Rawls somehow doesn't make it on the Seattle 53 I make sure I have his agent on speed dial.

And they are coming from the same posters...interesting isn't it?

If the Cowboys were inclined to trade for a RB they already would have done so.
If guys get cut Dallas likely gets their agents first call. It would be beyond silly to trade for a guy getting cut anyway just to jump the waiver order.

None of those guys listed are very good.
That's why they are getting cut.
Bryce Brown has disappointed at every stop since he left HS.
Michael couldn't ever win the job at TAMU.
Gray had some good games for the Pats but fell into disuse and BB's doghouse.

Hayne is the lone intriguing guy IMHO. But I am not sure he is getting cut or would be traded for a late round pick.
He looks like a player.

I believe they do want another back in here who's a bruiser and can punish the defense. But I believe they are truly going by running back by committee. In a fantasy football world, no one likes it because its not going to help their fantasy team. But a running back by committee should keep our running backs fresh throughout the season.

McFadden has had 3 carries
Randle has had 7
Dunbar 0

And none of those carries behind the starting Oline.

Yet we just KNOW we need to pick up somebody else's backup RB.

BTW Chris Johnson already has a pulled hamstring too bad we didn't grab him lol

I would not rely on comp picks at this time, anything can happen to the players we lost, and the picks not be awarded. Also being young or not does not mean they can be frivolous with picks.

What stupid team is going to make the trade to make Cowboys better? Especially some team in the NFC.

The Raiders are usually stupid...so there's that. Maybe we trade McFadden back to them for something. ;)

Yeah, that's exactly why I thought he was a relevant example. He's a guy who exploded with the change of scenery and a new opportunity.

I guess if you ignore what Stephen Jones said a couple of weeks ago about how he feels they probably missed out on drafting a RB...
They seem to have changed their stance from the draft to training camp. Also I guess we can pretend we didn't offer Demarco 6.5 million per year. Doesn't seem like something you do when you like Joe Randle enough to lean on him.

I have to ignore it because they didn't try hard enough to change this running back trio. What on earth could've changed between the draft and training camp? If you were excited by this running back trio before camp you should still be excited about it. You have had these guys out here in preseason with backup offensive linemen blocking for them.

In regards to Demarco.....let's be honest with ourselves. If they wanted him here he'd be here. When has Jerry EVER missed out on keeping his own free agents? They offered him what they knew he wouldn't accept. The Cowboys simply value their offensive line more than they do their running backs.

...sure there is. Only difference is, it wouldn't be "magical", it would be a normal trade. The guys listed on here could be had with a 4th-7th round picks. It's not about what they are doing in their systems, it's about if they can come in and fit our system well. I don't care if Michael is beating out Turbin or not, he's a freak athlete and would fit our system greatly.

But I'd wait for cuts before I do anything.

IF we were to make a trade, I'd be looking at Brandon Oliver. He'll most likely be rotating with Woodhead all season, but he's a decent runner with good receiving abilities.
