Actually, it does. Even if one is incapable of leading anyone to the Super Bowl, if one can manage the game, they will have a place on a Bill Parcells team.

Right now, like it or not, it appears Romo has separated himself from Henson in that regard.

i still wanna see some of henson but if parcells is finally letting EITHER player step up - so be it. at least we're finally acknowleding a former BP qb won't be around forever and letting someone step up who's earned it.

reward for 3 years of patience and tutoring? TRADE!!!!

sigh.

I'd take a 1st round choice for him, or a 2nd and a 3rd, but there isn't any way another team would make that trade. And, frankly, no other team should make that trade.

Romo is worth more to the Cowboys than he's worth to other teams.

:hammer:

I have always considered him to be our last chance to have a pro bowl caliber QB spare a first round pick that would take 2 or 3 years to groom.

A valid assumption because Henson has been unimpressive both in his NFL start and his time in Europe, as well as last preseason

Disagree entirely. I watched most his NFLE game sna dhe did impress me. Give him a supporting cast and he can play in the NFL.

The trade mentality is only assumed because people saw what Hasselbeck brought when the Packers traded him.

The thing is, that took three years of showcasing.

Not one game. IT WAS ONE GAME.

Not if there is an injury in camp. If a starter gets hurt near opening day, someone will come shopping for Romo. It could be a sweet situation to be in.

Why are you so Hell bent on trading Romo?

Give any QB who plays in the NFL a "supporting cast" and they can play, otherwise they would be out of the league, in the Arena League or getting cut from Canada.;)

If we could get a first day pick for him, I'd trade him.

Since that is unlikely to happen, we may as well keep him and see if he can be anything but a backup.

Wasn't there a lot of discussion about being heavy on LB's and we need to pick up a receiver? Jerruh and Bill both said they are shopping players.

The question was simply what is Romo worth. Not if he is good, which I think he is, but what would you want for him.

By the answer, you can gauge how good he is!

A first day pick? You would take a 3rd rounder for him? Rumor has it we turned down a 3rd rounder from the Jets last year.

Drew Henson, a supposed NFL caliber QB, had an NFLE QB rating 30 points lower than that of a guy named Hamdan. Sorry that average nuimbers against the equavalent of D-2 collegiant talent doesnt impress me.

However, over 200 yards and a TD with no INTs against legit NFL talent impressed me a lot

Not just a frist day pick. Right now his stock is soaring. Second round is as low as I think he is worth.

One game. One round.

I guess that is how it works.

I once traded Julius Jones and Patrick Crayton for Joe Horn, can we pull that one off?

Where did I suggest we give up our first? I said trade 'em all. I meant all the trade talk candidates. Henson, Ellis, Shanle, Romo, for Brady Quinn.

SHould prolly have been clearer on that.
